In Brief

This has been a stressful week for me, and my commitment to work has caused me to let many other tasks (some incredibly time-sensitive) go unfinished. Unfortunately it appears that I’ll be in the office both days this weekend as well.

I did give myself one night off last night, attending a Tweet-up Reunion at The Marlay House in Decatur. As if I didn’t have enough stress the drive from Perimeter Mall to The Marlay House took me a good 75 minutes. I had a fun time seeing many Flickr and Twitter friends that I don’t see all that often any longer. I returned home to make myself a couple of eggs for dinner (The Marlay House has great food, but I didn’t get around to ordering any) before heading home to pass out for the evening. I think I made it about two minutes into “Santa Claus is Coming To Tow” before passing out.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Cheers!

Why does Santa need a tow? Did a reindeer break a leg? Did his sleigh get a flat?

Work has been stressful here as well, not that I’m super busy, just some bad energy and everyone seems to be walking on eggshells. I hope this passes very soon.

Jerry went on a ‘man date’ last night so I stayed home, worked on a puzzle, wrapped xmas gifts and watched a PBS show on early English Queens (I know very exciting)!

Gah! Even when I type a short blog I can’t proofread it correctly. 🙁

Last day of class… hopefully ending early.

The new pony arrived last night with everything but a good name. The current leader is Bennett but we are open to suggestions.

Steve, is this the WILD horse or a different horse?

Nothing like an early release on a Friday, I may head home after my client meeting. I’m pretty sure it is going to suck the life right out of me…she’s been on a rampage this week, so far I’ve avoid direct contact but I’m guessing I’m in for it soon.

We left the feral horse in Florida. We had to really since we couldn’t catch him. Ducked a bullet there!

This one is older, wiser, kinder; I am in lurve.

We’re trying to figure out a name that has either cycling ties or to something else Steve likes. So we have Bennett, Phinney, Merckx, Wiggins and a couple of others I can’t recall.

14 hours in the truck over the last two days has wrecked my back. I’m hobbling around the farm like an old lady.

    Happy Friday everyone!

I’m sure any BMC rider name would work for your friend TJ……..
    Cadel?

Crazy day, I don’t know why, but my life this Christmas season just seems chaotic. More house guests tonight, need to have 2 guest rooms & only have 1.
Where to put the airmattress…… getting the room in the basement changed into a guest room is the next thing on the agenda for this winter.

I don’t know what it is but this year, Christmas has seemed more stressful than normal. Maybe it is because we’re going out of town for the first time …um ever for Christmas (I haven’t spend Christmas with my family since I moved to Georgia)…I got really irrational when I started looking up the toys on my nieces’ christmas list…just overpriced, plastic, marketing junk.

Well anyway, 90% of my shopping is done, I think all I have left is Jerry’s mom (any suggestions what to get an elderly Filipino woman, who doesn’t want ‘anything’ except to see her sons that she ‘never’ gets to see?)

Debbie, I saw the picture of your new man, very handsome indeed. I can’t wait to meet him at the next spa getaway.

  8. Debbie says:

A nice framed photo of her son so she can “see” him every day?

I’ve done almost nothing for the holiday yet. I’m in total denial.
