Short Update

Geez, it seems as if I never have/make time to write a decent blog post any more.

With the exception of ticking off the TSA by carrying my driver’s license and forgetting about the change in my pocket (which I rarely have, so it’s no surprise I forgot about it) yesterday’s flight was a breeze. We were up and down in fifty minutes, during which I had enough time to take a cat-nap and drink a Coke. Wheee! It took longer to ride MARTA from the airport to Perimeter Mall.

I worked in the office a few hours yesterday before going to Lucky’s Burger and Brew for dinner and a couple of beers. I was met by my boss and we sat at the bar chatting up one our favorite bartenders as the nerds around us played Team Trivia. From the questions I heard I would have been of little help last night.

After dinner I returned home to fall asleep nearly immediately, only to be awakened by the phone ringing at 10:30pm — not surprisingly it was my mother. We chatted for a little while before I gave up the ghost again around 11:00pm and slept like a rock until sometime around 6:00am this morning.

And now it’s time for me to get back into coding mode.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

PS – ITP-Reader Stacy, if you happen to read this today I have not forgotten about the Packers defeat of the Jets, or the drinks I owe you because of it. I’ll touch base soon and we can arrange an outing.

I would be slightly embarrassed if my mother was up later than me- of course, you have had a hard week.

As a potential buyer will be coming Saturday, I was a weed whacking fool last night. Sadly, it was too warm in the man cave to try and ride my trainer indoors, and by the time I was done with the yardwork, the road was not happening either. A run at lunch today will be the best I can manage.

This afternoon, meeting with our Stone Mountain Park rep and getting a few last minute details worked out. Anyone been to Red Pepper at Toco Hills?

My mother has never slept much, I take after my father in that realm.

Is Red Pepper a Mexican place? I ate at one the last year and it was too, not fantastic, and a bit overpriced.

  3. Steve says:

I assume it is… I think we’re just meeting to talk and drink.

  4. Barb says:

Well – the Dan Dan noodles came out pretty good last night, not exactly the same, but they were quite tasty. and very spicy. We will definitely do it again (especially since I bought chili oil & Sichuan peppercorns & you don’t need much of either in the recipe)

  5. Jenka says:

Steve, do you mean Toco Hill proper, or the Red Pepper on the corner of Briarcliff and Lavista? If the latter, it’s a mile from my office and it’s your regular chain restaurant. Like Chili’s only more Mexican-er.

  6. Steve says:

Jenka, good catch!! I was thinking it was in Toco Hill proper, but I gather it’s there by the Whole Paycheck at B/L?

  7. Jenka says:

Yep. Right on the corner of B and L.

  8. Oh that Red Pepper. It’s across LaVista from Whole Foods, behind Starbucks.
