Busy Is As Busy Does

How is it possible that I’ve previously used that title?

Yesterday was another hectic day in my life — late start to the day thanks to Election Day traffic, breakfast, meetings, and fulfilling a commitment to deliver a beta version of a now-shelved app — all made for a cranky Paulie. I feel as if today will be a repeat of that.

Remember all of that wood ITP-Steve mentioned? Here’s my photo of the stack.

“Got Wood?” (Pine Mountain, GA, USA)
Got Wood?
What’s not readily identifiable is that this stack was a good 5’6″ tall, and there there is a third as much again stacked on the other side. By Sunday morning we had burned nearly all of it.

Last night’s German Class was a Boys Club as our two female participants were not present. I still feel as if I am slipping more and more each week and need to turn up my studying to remedy this.

I must have been pretty damn pooped when I returned home because I ate a tiny bit for dinner, mostly so that I could take my Prednisone, and then promptly passed out in bed. Of course this meant that I was awake again at 2:30am and made the best of this time by listening to podcast while working on my app for work. When I awoke “for good” this morning I realized that the time I spent voting was for naught, in case you didn’t already know my political bent.

Tonight I plan to get the hey on out of work as soon as is feasible. I have a 6:45pm haircut appointment in the Highlands and may either pop over to George’s afterward or walk up to DBA Barbecue for dinner. It is Wednesday, right? 🙂

Okay, time to make the code…

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

We had almost that much wood with us at Oak Mtn.

What time are we thinking for TC dinner on Friday? I realized I’m sort of double booked, but I might be able to make both work, if we are eating fairly early.

I didn’t watch any of the election results last night, but wasn’t really shocked by the results. I’ve gotten to where I hate both parties. There needs to be a middle common sense party.

  2. I’ll leave the time up to the people traveling the furthest. Of course I’d like to miss as much of the Top End Rush Hour(s) as possible, but I can deal…

Just out of a half day conference… nice breakfast and lunch and actually good content.

The home-lookers have already come and gone- the house smelled of dogs, despite a lot of Fabreeze and Carpet Fresh. Only Farley went with Debbie, so the other kids were in the house. We’re kind of at a loss. And not happy. I busted my ass cleaning last night and they blow us off.

As far as TC Friday, I’m off, so we can be there whenever, and if Friday doesn’t work out for you Barb, we can make it another time.

I will be at Georges, so come on down.

well – probably another night would work better (and then Allan could come).
But – as long as I’m out of there by 7:30, I could make it work. You guys make the call.

Went & got my mammagram done, brand new Wellstar facility in East Cobb. What a whole lot of wasted space, I was completely underwhelmed by the service & the place in general. And we wonder why healthcare costs are so high…………

  5. I’m free Saturday night and Monday, Wednesday and Friday of next week.

  6. Steve says:

We’re booked Saturday all day, but Monday might work.

  7. Barb says:

we are most likely smoking a pork butt Saturday night for eating on Sunday. If anyone is avaialble, there will be plenty of pork to share.
