Worst. Bike. Ride. In. A. Long. Time.
I had enthusiasm to ride from the ITP Estate to Stone Mountain and back on Saturday morning. Enthusiasm was all I had, and faded quickly.
With nearly all body parts involved in bike riding hurting I changed my ride from “Going around Stone Mountain and back” to “Going to Stone Mountain and back” to “Going fifteen miles out and back” to “Fuck it, I’m going to the end of this road and turning around” as I struggled to pedal. Today’s scale reading of 227 might have a lot to do with this.
My penance for failure was mowing the lawns on Saturday afternoon. So, at least I had that going for me.
