Blogger’s Holiday

Actually I’m just too damn swamped with things.

Taxes filed. Hopefully everything correctly prepared by the professional I have do my taxes; It’s a concern I have every year.

Ate too much food at a new-to-me restaurant called 7 Hens on Roswell Road at Abernathy last night. It’s schnitzel place, I will return.

Not much else going on. Tonight I will be headed to the Fox Theatre to hear David Sedaris perform.

Tomorrow I guess I’ll be driving to Madison to ride. My schedule is to ride tomorrow, Saturday, and perhaps Sunday. In no sense of the word am I “prepared” for this outing.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

Paulie – Depending on the weather tomorrow morning, we may leave a little later.
All depends on when the weather looks the best for setting up a tent. I’ll text you when we have a good idea what we are doing in the morning.

Weather is looking much better for Saturday at least.

Its looking like there will be a couple guys from the old team Roadkill days there that I wasn’t planning on, so just hanging out around/under the pop-up tents should be very fun & entertaining. I’m wondering if they will bring the trailer with all the “roadkill” animals to decorate our camping area.

I haven’t packed/planned anything at all either, that is the project for tonight/tomorrrow morning.

I hope the weather holds out for you guys.. camping in the rain isn’t always fun.

Hopefully today the rain will hold off and I can get a little mowing done at the Ben Hilton- I haven’t been by in months and I’m sure the grass looks like hell.

We set some fence posts last night, just by pouring concrete in the holes with the posts. Hopefully there is enough water in the ground to set the mix. I can’t remember doing this before, but it’s supposed to work.

The neighbor stopped by as we were working and said he thought we were going to use the already fenced pasture!! Well, we can always use another pasture. This one only has a 4 strand wire fence, so would be harder for the horses to see- more chance of injury. We’re still proceeding with our hotwire rollout.

I’m so sorry to be missing David Sedaris! I’ve seen him 3 times before. But we’re off to Boston for the weekend for a family thing.

We finally are finally under contract on a house! It’s in Candler Park. I’m so pleased this house hunt is over.

Woo Hoo!!! Where is it, Jenka?

  5. Jenka says:

2-3 blocks east of L5P, between L5P and the park! We’re very excited!
