My Teams Keep Winning?

The Mets, Jets, and Gators are winning? I’m not exactly sure how to handle this.

Of course, the latter two have their hardest days ahead of them.

Lavanderia y Futbol
Last night’s post work activities were dominated by going to the lavanderia to wash a huge bundle of clothes. Though I had a nice chicken dinner in mind I changed plans to join my boss at Lucky’s Burger & Brew in Brookhaven.

I watched the first half of the Jets v. Colts game, and was pleased with what I saw.

I Look Much More Than Ten Years Older
Another task performed last night was stopping into a Walgreens and getting a passport photo taken. The process was almost comical as I stood in front of a movie screen while the Walgreens employee took my headshot using a cheap point-and-shoot camera. The photo was far from flattering, but it was relatively cheap (two copies cost me about $13). In the end the task was completed. Next up is sending this photo and my passport to get renewed before my current passport expires in February of next year.

Watch OS 2 Is Here
Now I need to figure out how to download software to my watch. I’ve never had to do such a thing before…

Cheers,

Both our passports have expired and we need to get them renewed, just in case we are able to pull together our 10th anniversary trip next Spring. We need new pictures? I’ve renewed once before, but it’s been a while.

I don’t know what is going on with the bus in the afternoon. I just missed the one I can sometimes catch if I hustle out of Marta and haul a$$ down Forsyth Street. Generally this isn’t a problem, as the next bus comes within 15 minutes… unless it doesn’t- like the last 2 Mondays when the darn thing didn’t show up. Waiting for a half hour is a PITA, hence making the ride home 2 hours. Ugh.

Games meeting tonight, after dropping my framing nailer at the repair shop.

  2. Yeah, you need a new photo, at least from what I think I read on the Government’s passport renewal instructions.

I will need an updated passport next year because, unless I am dead, I am returning to Germany.

  3. Barb says:

Yes- you need a new picture.
You can’t travel to most places within 6 months of your passport expiring – ask Andrea (PMS) about the trip that got messed up for her sometime.

It doesn’t take that long, go to Walgreens & get the pictures taken, print out the ppwk & fill it out, send it all in. I think we had ours back in less than a month. I’m not sure if it is different if it is expired vs. just about to expire.

I doubt we are leaving the country next year – I’m thinking we need slightly lower budget vacations after this past summer. Not that they really cost that much, but still. We are going to CA wine country in March, so I know that won’t be cheap, I’m a sucker for all the discounts you get when you by futures.

I don’t know why it bugs me, but I get all uncomfortable with the thought of mailing my passport away. Like, what if in that tiny little one month it takes to get the new one, I just reaaaaaally need to skip outta the country? *grin*

  5. Barb says:

but, you couldn’t go anyway Steve – you said its expired.

Did you guys watch the World Team Time Trial that BMC won? (I didn’t, but it is DVR’d). Kevin was there in Richmond, I guess he’s racking up the FF miles this year.

  6. It scares the heck out of me to mail my passport. I just think of the amount of identity theft that can occur if it falls into the wrong hands.

I watched part of the replay of the individual TT last night while sitting in Lucky’s.

  7. Barb says:

if you want to spend the bigger bucks – you can send it so it has to be signed for.
We didn’t, just a plain old envelope.

  8. Steve says:

Identity theft is a real deal (right Barb?) but there isn’t much you could do with a passport. Only full name and DOB will get you a bit- you still need the SSN to go very far.

Somehow, I only recorded the women and had to watch the highlights of the men. Please have Kevin mention to Taylor the proper deportment during the playing of the national anthem. I think he was carry on a conversation with a team mate, even while he had his hand over his heart. I could be wrong.
