Drinking, Drinking, Drinking

That’s what I did last night, and that’s what I’ll do tonight.

Once again I’ll be taking pass on trivia, this time to meet a real German! The boss has a diving friend who is a German, and tonight we’ll be meeting her for beverages. It’ll be my chance to exhaust my limited skills within five minutes and then relax whilst drinking beer.

With any luck I’ll be taking an entire day off from work. The plan is to make the trip down to FDR State Park and set up camp for a wet, wet, wet, weekend of drinking. I’ll have to see how things play out at work today.

And that is all.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

  1. I should probably add to my routine “job hunting, job hunting, job hunting”

Back at the Dr. with the mizzus for the follow up. No problems whatsoever but she’s ready for the eye patch/blast shield to go away.

It would be nice to see the sun sometime soon, but I don’t think it will be hhappening. We have already rescheduled the door work for Sunday, as my friend doesn’t have an enclosed trailer to haul the welder.

I think there will be.some exercise today, and as Stacy pointed out, it’s let your husband cook day, so there will be schnitzel! Ausgeseignet!

We went to a friend’s house for dinner last night -nice relaxing evening with plenty of wine.

Allan is finally back at the firehouse today – after being sick for a couple shifts & then a class, seems like I haven’t had a “free” night in forever.
So – my evening agenda is a pedicure & dinner with girlfriends.
Then maybe a TV show that he doesn’t like.

    its also Guy Fawkes day

“Remember remember, the fifth of november, the gunpowder treason and plot, I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot”

“Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.”

Hmmph! Well I see how we rate. 😉

What’s happening at FDR state park this weekend? Is it a hash thing or another drinking thing? (I reckon you can have other friends than just hashers!) Kudos to you for still going — I’m the lame sort that would look at the weather and be: NOPE. I can totally drink, drink, drink in the comfort of a warm, dry location instead.

Looks like it will be sunny in Germany 🙂

This rain is getting old, good thing our ramble trails are always open. There will be a ramble in Alpharetta tonight!

Have fun camping, try to say dry.

“Quick” lunch time drive to the International terminal – Allan “forgot” his security badge. can’t quite function with out it. He owes me now…….

  8. bob says:

Barb, Quick and Airport should never, ever be in the same sentence 🙂

  9. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

FDR is a hash campout. Rumor has it that this will be the last one.

I was hoping you would see that I wrote that in my sarcasm font.
