Still No Time!

I am hatching a plan to travel to Vermont next August to do a multi-day bike ride and brewery tour. It’s an expensive thought. And, I’ll need to figure out how to get more vacation time next year that doesn’t include outright quitting work.

That’s my very brief thought for the day.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

since Allan has to put in all of his vacation already for next year – we’ve got our year sort of kind of set.

March – NorCal for some wine tasting
June – possibly the 2nd half of BRAG
July- a week up in VA – visiting friends in Norfolk & maybe try wine tasting in that state.
Sept – CO invihash Labor Day weekend & the week after.

Plus – now that it looks like we are getting a camper – some camping trips.
(it wasn’t in the budget, but its a price we can’t pass up, so we will come up with the cash somewhere)

  2. So far my 2016 vacation wish list is:

    some of BRAG?
    two weeks in Europe (Germany-centric)
    a week in Vermont cycling
    New York
    Canada?
    Colorado for CO Invihash

This doesn’t include my three-day weekends either

I think I’ll do BRAG this year too, I want to see what Franklin is trying to do with the ride.
September will be a mtn bike trip from Colorado to Utah.
I’ll probably take another week or 2 in the summer for a family trip.

Barb, what kind of camper are you getting?

  4. Barb says:

    Its a 19′ 2010 Jayco Featherweight Hybrid.
Its all hard sided, but the beds pull out on the ends, so there is lots of room inside. (and – full bathroom with a shower)
A guy I work with in AL bought it for a steal a couple years ago & hasn’t used it. We told him when he was tired of it taking up room in his driveway, we’d buy it (for that same steal price, which is over $2000 less than what he can get for it selling it to someone he doesn’t know). Well – he finally decided he was tired of it. Now we have to come up with money.

Waiting on Debbie to come out of surgery.

No plans for next year yet, thought I want to put in to work California next May to see how ASO runs bike races. We will celebrate our 10th anniversary next April, but the trip to Paris is out of the budget. It might be a long weekend in Kentucky for a horse event.

And the Games, of course. And it will be announced at our wrap up meeting that I’m the new vice president. That and 50 cents gets you a cup of coffee.

Results on Debbie when I get them.

    its the cataract curgery -right?

  7. Stacy says:

Oh Steve! I guess I haven’t been following closely enough. Sending good vibes out to Debbie today!

In the meantime, I wanna know where you can actually get a cup of coffee for 50 cents these days. 😉

  8. steve says:

Correct. Cataract. They run them through this place.

Bad coffee at the office is 50 cents.

  9. Debbie says:

Surgery all done. Dr said it went great; I’m sporting a really attractive patch that he’ll remove tomorrow morning. Looking forward to having 2 good eyes again!

For the record, if you want to be the youngest person in the room, cataract surgery central is the place to be. They were running a couple of hours behind schedule, so there was much grumbling from sweet old ladies.

  10. Thanks Debbie but if I’m trying to be the youngest in the room I’ll try bingo in Florida first. 🙂

Glad to hear all went well, here’s to your quick recovery!
