Phoning It In

Blogging this morning using my iPhone, expect terseness.

I’m mad at Atlanta as well as myself. Traffic was fucking horrible last night so I spent time at Taco Mac waiting it out. After a stop at Kroger to buy some food for today I went home and prompted you fell asleep. No German was studied.

This evening if traffic is bad I will find a hiding place at work and study.

Speaking of work, it’s time for me to start aggressively looking.

This morning I delivered a crockpot of kielbasa and sauerkraut to this office to cook on low until lunch; essentially all I am doing is heating it.

I grabbed a MARTA train to Woodruff Arts Center, where I am currently. I am awaiting the start of Creative Morning Atlanta.

After the meet up I will return to work, oh the current stress of work.

Have a great weekend friends!

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

Its Friday- I’m not in the mood to work. (what else is new……..right?)

We are heading to Lake Keowee (Seneca, SC) to a friends house for a short getaway tomorrow morning. They got their finances together enough to retire in their early 50s & leave the metro area & live on a lake.

We are stopping at the Gill warehouse sale near Lake Lanier on the way up, hoping to find me a good lightweight rain jacket. Gill sells mainly sailing clothing & outer wear, but you never know what deals you can find there. Some of my favorite shirts are from Gill. Allan has gotten great deals on jackets that are his size. We also might stop at the outlets up in Commerce, I may need some Correlle dishes for the camper – we will see what sales they might have going on.

Sunday we hope to do a decent hike up there somewhere, looks like it might be a little cold, but no rain, so that will be perfect!

Debbie got me a chain while she was in Peachtree City yesterday. I tried to take the old one off this morning and I’m not sure I have a correct tool. Maybe a little more light. There is a Friday Hooky ride at Silk Sheets at 1 but I’m not sure I can accomplish all my chores and make it.

Our only real plan this weekend is to attend my grand nephew Luthers first birthday party. What else is happening?

  3. Saturday night I will be attending a play in which Betsy and Andrea (Boner Rooter and Pull My String) are performing.

Oh yeah – had dinner at Dean’s house last night, he was experimenting with some chinese recipes. Came out pretty tasty. Had some fun conversation, his brother’s visit with his Chinese wife & family (family that speaks no english at all) produced some very interesting stories.

I wish I could go to that play, I’m sure it will be entertaining.

Paulie, have you ever considered studying while AT the Taco Mac? I’ve done some of my best work in bars. *grin*

I had no idea Betsy and Andrea were in a play! How cool. Have fun!

Low key weekend here. Hitting the Atlanta Botanical Gardens to see the lights tonight — I have lived this close and have never been before. Shame on me! I may put up my wee little Christmas tree this weekend (if the lights so inspire me), maybe do that “fall thing” like cook up a vat of chili or something. Mainly just going to take advantage of the cool temperatures and stay inside and curl up with a book or movie. Exciting life, mine. 🙂

What Stacy said! I did at least 75% of my masters in a bar called the Chapter House in Ithaca, NY.

  7. You all have better abilities to block out your surroundings that I do. I’m so easily distracted.
