This Is How The Mighty Fall

It’s 10:37am Eastern and I’m finally able to come up for air.

And now I head back down to the murky waters of software development.

Hope your day is going better than mine.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

    Take a deep breath… I was worried a bit after yesterday’s post.

Feeling a bit better each day, though my stomach reminded me last night that things weren’t completely back to normal.

Games meeting was fairly uneventful. We had an opening on the BoD and selected my partner in crime on the field setup as a deserving person.

Debbie is off to “South Georgia” for the Wednesday hunt. Hopefully I’ll ride tonight and feel like I’m getting back to normal.

    Hang in there Paulie.

  2. I’m still considering upending my life. Could turn out to be the best, or worst, decision I’ve ever made. Stay tuned…

Remember, it’s easier to get a job when you have one, than when you don’t.

Well – Allan is switching to A Shift (he is on B shift now) so we have to re-work all the calendars & vacation days. Shouldn’t be too much trouble, but just more busy work to get it all straight.
Station 16 is one of the busier ones in the city – down west of the Georgia Dome on a street that has changed names, so I don’t know what that it. But – they do have fires in that area, so Allan is very excited. Burnt Rubber may have had something to do with him getting out of the airport, so I guess we owe him a beer, or 12 or 24.

leaving for Fort Walton Beach tomorrow morning – its not going to be warm, but it will be warmer than here. Never been down there – so this should be interesting. We will be back Sunday.

I’m going to really need you to step up and write more, Paulie. You’ve seriously cut down on my procrastination time and I can’t have me actually doing this much real work each morning.

  6. Steve says:

I looked where 16 is and he should certainly have more action and less air sickness complaints. Hope he’s happy.

  7. Stacy says:

I looked where 16 is and HEY! He’s not too far from the office! 🙂

  8. Barb says:

he will be stocking up on the Narcan & ruining a lot of herion addicts days over there.

  9. Indeed Steve, however if I am going to take a pay cut (seemingly likely from what I am seeing) I might pair that with at long sabbatical.

  10. Steve says:

Prepare now for the long term…. sabbatical or not.

  11. I believe that I am. If I were to make any change it would be thought out and planned for as best as I can. Of course I cannot predict the future (if I could I would have sold all of the stock I hold prior to the recent downturn).
