Gone Interviewin’

No time for blogging today, I need to focus my attention on getting a new job. I’m nervous, but ready to give it my best.

Until tomorrow.

  1. While I am away you can read this short, and interesting post about the board game Masterpiece:
    http://nowiknow.com/the-masterpiece-hidden-in-plain-sight/

Barb, check the very bottom and click the link. Still have the game? Put it up for sale! 😀

    • Barb says:

do you ever sell anything on ebay or wherever? (I never have).
I do still have the game – we could get $40 for it?
That’s an interesting story about the picture – how did you come upon it?
I guess I should start looking at the art at Goodwill or Value Village?

  2. bob says:

Best of luck on the interview Paulie!

  3. Stacy says:

    Knock ’em dead!

  4. Steve says:

    Yeah, give ’em hell.

  5. Since my interview starts at 11:30 I am eating a full meal now. This way if they offer me lunch I won’t eat much, like being in a first date.

I didn’t have time to mention how much of a pedant I was yesterday. The Atlanta Gator Club sent an email about tomorrow night’s game, saying it starts at 9:59 EST. Well, since we have entered Daylight Saving Time I kindly reminded them that the game starts at 9:59 EDT. Captain Pedantic in the house!

  6. Debbie Brady! says:

Best of luck with the interview!!

  7. HamWithCam says:

…did I hear somebody say OK Cafe?! 🙂

  8. Steve says:

Yes HwC, and it was wonderful!! Debbie had turkey and dressing, I had meat loaf with squash and their amazing mac and cheese! At 11:30 the wait isn’t too bad.

    • Barb says:

I like the place, but its like Marietta Diner for me – too expensive, but you do get a ton of food. I’m full. Can’t go there too often, but that is also because there is no parking in that parking lot. So aggravating.
I guess I need to try their mac n cheese, not sure if I ever have had it.

      • Stacy says:

Yeah, all “diners” are kind of like that, right? More expensive than you think they should be…maybe it’s that “diner” name that makes you want it to be cheap. What’s nice is that, you’re right: the portions often make it two meals (if you order something that’s good the next day too).

  9. Steve says:

    Oh yeah, it’s really good.

    • HamWithCam says:

      “It was wonderful…” Doh!

//runs to check email, text and/or voicemail for missed invitation… 🙂

OK Cafe is my fav place. Almost never a bad time/meal.

We go there regularly and I cannot recall ever having to wait for a booth (“1-6 please…”) at “11:30a” (except perhaps on weekends). The adjacent parking area can get crowded, but you can always park “around back” and enter through the Take Out entrance. You did know there was a full take out area, right? With unlimited Tootsie Rolls.

When Paulie gets his job offer, we’ll have to assemble in celebration.

there was no parking ANYWHERE in that parking lot at 1130.
but- people are coming & going, so eventually you get lucky with someone pulling out as you are approaching.
it was busy today, but not really a wait for a table.
I think we sat (just 4) at that exact table in the picture.

  10. Well, that was a fast three hours, That’s good, right? I think I went well but then again what do I know. Now it’s in their hands. Time for me to send a thank you email.

  11. Oh, and all I wanted at the end was a beer. And from where did I get one? Home. Why? Because I couldn’t think of bar at which I wanted to sit and spend money. Ugh.

  12. And finally, I forgot that I wanted to go to IKEA, I didn’t go to the gym, and I don’t like the beer that I am drinking. Other than that I am doing alright.

  13. Barb says:

where was the interview location wise?
We might go to spin class tonight – that’s the tentative plan, but I’m not home yet.
