Lazy morning, I need breakfast.

Discovered last night that photos taken on Monday with an actual camera were inexplicably black, and therefore shit; files deleted. On a positive note,
I wastched two episodes of “The Great British Bake Off (Baking Show)” while coming to this conclusion.

I need breakfast, but I’m going to lunch at 11:30, so I’ll just starve until then.

Tonight is Book of Mormon – planning to meet Stacy (& maybe Jenka & Kevin) at Edgar’s P & P. They open at 5pm, so we are hoping to be able to get a table getting there right at 5pm. (Stacy will get a free drink from us if she gets there 1st & gets a table!) I even came into work early so I can leave early!

    • I won’t be joining you tonight Barb. Enjoy the show!

I have purchased myself an early birthday present, a ticket to see Atlanta performer OkCello play at City Winery on 8/1.

    • Stacy says:

Wait, what? I get a free drink for this too??? Woo hoo! 😉 Haha, you don’t need to do that, love. But, yes, I will be there when they open. If they won’t seat us until we’re all there, I’ll be bellied-up at the bar waiting for y’all.

Paulie, if you decide to come after all, just pop me a message before 5pm so I can change the table to 6.

I had a lovely breakfast at a quintessential greasy spoon called Barbecue Kitchen in College Park. It was like time travel, with time travel prices to boot!

Hey Barb, you might be able to get a real Book of Mormon tonight for free: 😉

I heard there were some Mormons outside the Fox during this run.

    • Barb says:

OMG! That would be funny. When we were in UT at Bryce Canyon a few years ago, our motel had a book of Mormon, but it was in German, so I couldn’t learn anything.
side note – the motel restaurant had some excellent pie.

      • ITP Lurker says:

        Mmmmmm…pie…

Reminds me of when my wife went to a Grateful Dead show in San Francisco. A guy outside the venue had the best sales pitch ever, he walked around saying in a low voice “Brownies, yum”.

I’m feeling like today should be Friday.

    • Barb says:

AND – how do you find these stories?

      • ITP Lurker says:

A silver lining to childhood deprivation is that I have some insane intuition, which in turn makes it incredibly easy for me to lay my hands on stuff.

This article gave me some helpful insight earlier this year into how intuition works: https://work.qz.com/1227997/the-science-of-intuition-can-help-you-understand-how-to-use-it/

tl;dr version: Intuition is a basically our brain recognizing patterns. A friend got me hooked on jigsaw puzzles recently, which I haven’t put together in decades. It’s surprisingly meditative, and having an eye for patterns keeps it fun.

        • Stacy says:

I have a book on intuition that came with a little workbook. It’s been nearly 20 years since I’ve looked at it though – I should again. It is amazing how much you can pick up out there if you’re just in tune to picking up the signs and not ignoring them.

  3. Getting a “free” lunch today because I have a harassment training class during lunchtime. Oh boy!

    • Barb says:

I’m supposed to do a Ethics & Code of Conduct training thing, but when I use the login info from HR – it says login failed. I’m thinking it may because I have already done it last fall? But -they haven’t replied. So, oh well……

    • Stacy says:

You folks are trained in how to harass? How bizarre.

  4. Barb says:

ALSO – happy birthday to our newest ITP-Reader Bonnie’s husband today.
I told her to start commenting, so maybe a shout out here will make it happen!

    • ITP Lurker says:

Bonnie, I can attest all are welcome here. Hope you decide to join the party!

Oh, and I’ve been meaning to leave some bait for the MIA HamWithCam:

OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE
OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE
OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE OK CAFE

  5. Steve says:

A late hello from the Big Easy (not to be confused with Little Easy). Getting ready for a long weekend of upgrades. Hearing all the stories of current and former bosses of the local staff.

Trying to find a TV with NBCSN to watch today’s stage… might be tough unless it’s in a bar. Oh no!!
