    OK, let’s go wild.

The new PC still needs some tuning and I’m having to adjust to Windows 10.

Last nights Games meeting was our wrap up for 2018 when we reelect officers (whoopee, I’m still VP) and pay the charitables. Considering the rain we had on the weekend, as I expected, the Saturday was a decent Sunday number and the Sunday crowd was a really good Sunday crowd. We made money, but a fraction of normal. We dipped into our surplus to pay the charitables, which is kind of the point.

Allan did report that he needs to replace my middle chainring on the CX bike. You mean I should actually shift to the other 2 sometimes? Who knew??

One more PC to upgrade today… oh boy.

I despise Windows 10 and am holding on to Windows 7 as long as I can. Apparently there’s an app called Classic Shell that can “de-Windows 10” a modern computer, so I’ll clearly need to look into that.

Moving to a new PC is an action that I always delay as long as possible. Trying to re-remember all of the layers of nuances and configurations that fade into the woodwork is just brutal.

Oh, and apparently one can get a second box of donuts for a buck at Krispy Kreme, something about today being related to dozens… And since I’m on the topic, I learned recently that Shaq owns the Krispy Kreme on Ponce. Who knew?

      • Steve says:

I have to say, so far it’s not bad and has some really cool features. They have gone back to some things that were lost in W8.1 and my laptop came with a stylus to use for handwriting and such. Haven’t really played with that much as I am normally connected to a B. A. monitor.

Shaq owns Krispy Kreme – I did not know

I’ve managed to delay my new pc for a couple of weeks and I’ll keep delaying as long as I can get away with it. I don’t mind change in nearly anything, but getting up to speed with a new computer makes getting anything done painful for awhile. I’m too slammed to deal with it.

        Happy Humpday!

        • ITP Lurker says:

I’m *always* too slammed, and end up deferring moving to a new laptop for months after I make the purchase. Like everything in life, I do get there eventually though. 🙂

  2. Thought I was being cleverly cheap for my potluck appetizer today, but the components for my pimento cheese/guacamole tortilla chip snack cost me nearly $15.

    • Barb says:

I can see that – especially if you made the pimento cheese & guacamole from scratch – I’m assuming you did???

      • Not this time, I bought pre-made guacamole and pimento cheese. I am being lazy because I have been burning the candle from both ends recently.

        • Barb says:

I was joking, I bought store made pimento cheese not too long ago – and its so easy to make!!! I felt like a slacker. 9and, just a note – mine is better)

  3. *Somebody* may have had too much to eat, and is still drinking a beer at the company potluck lunch…

  4. Barb says:

working on making reservations in Cedar Key for February………
    I’m already tired of winter.
