I did not go to SLUT last night. Instead I selfishly chose to spend a night at home, something I have not done recently.

In the grand scheme of things my spending $2.39 for coffee using nothing but coins — eight quarters, three dimes, one nickel, and four pennies — will not change the world. However, for a brief moment it brought joy into my life.

    Greetings from Penn State!
    Its a very pretty campus.
Went to a few places Allan used to frequent, will hit some more today before we head out to the campground.
Met a few hashers again last night that we had met at interams, and Hedons.
    Pub crawl was fun.

Prior to our (cancelled) trip, I took my spare change to the counting machine at the Publix. I had over $120!! It would have been more, but I use cash so little anymore, I rarely have change.

I tried to go pick up my tractor parts from the dealer in Barnesville after work yesterday. The Google said they were open until 5:30, but I found the gates locked at 5:12. Pissed at not calling beforehand. Grrrrrr.

Got the bill for my stay at the horse pistol. $95k with $71k worth of discounts. $24k bill of which I paid- $100. Wow.

    • Was “horse pistol” an intentional word play?

I fear bills like that because I have an inkling they are in my future and, *at the moment*, I have good health insurance.

The whole 95k with 71k worth of discounts, that so crazy.
Just have a reasonable price in the first place.

Not supposed to arrive st camp until 2pm, if we get there earlier I’m sure we will get put to work. I hear there’s 110 or so registered.
Trail tonight at 5:30 & then dinner after.
Tomorrow trail starts at 9:30am with a long bus ride.
Rumor has it food will be amazingly good for a camp out.

Also coming here to share your PSA for the day. College football fan? The hall of fame downtown is free all month long if you have the Chick-fil-A app.

Eating ice cream at the Penn State creamery.
You can major in ice cream (aka food science)
Claim to fame…. Ben & Jerry learned all they know here.

And bought a Penn State T-shirt. I broke my no new T-shirts rule.

I know you hate coins Paulie so I’m sure you were excited to unload it as well. 🙂 I get excited as I use found quarters to pay for the majority of my Moonlight hashes (I’m sure Sani hates me…).

College dairy stores are the best. Nebraska has a good one and Wisc-Mad has a very good one. Something about Land Grant universities and Ag programs. Surprised UGA doesn’t have one. Doubtful you will ever find fresher ice cream that you didn’t make yourself.
