Okay, it felt a bit weird typing a 7 for the month. If not for Tasty China night, June would have been my first (ever?) vegetarian month. I do not regret eating meat that night.

COVID-19 finally claimed someone I knew personally, a former coworker who lived in Denver.

Yesterday was a fairly mundane day for me otherwise, laundry, work, masked haircut, and wasting time. “XYZ Corp” had an All Team Zoom meeting yesterday, as of now I am still employed, and for the foreseeable future will be able to work from home.

I was not stunned, but perhaps disappointed, to see so many people inside LA Fitness working out, unmasked of course. Had I planned better I would have gone inside, masked, and finally canceled my membership since I will not have the comfort to work out and shower amongst others for a long while.

I awoke to the thought of filling yard bags with pulled English ivy. Alas, apathy set in quickly thereafter when I saw the humidity outside. There is always tomorrow, and Friday. I miss the days when I awoke to thoughts of early morning bike riding this time of year, but the humidity would mean that less fun as well.

I accomplished about 69% (11 out of 16) of my June chores, and have rolled the other 31% into July. Some of the unfinished chores would take me less than an hour to perform, but somehow I never made time to do them.

Veggie for a month? Yeah, that ain’t going to happen here. Good job on all the exercise. I keep thinking my foot is getting better and I want to try and run, then it reminds me that might not be the best idea.

After my regular workday, I got in a quick half hour on the trainer before signing back on for some after hours network conversion. Tonight and tomorrow will be more of the same.

Looked like quite the storm in the city last night. Asshole/Billsen posted pics of his backyard, now a lake. I know we had issues at the office as well.

    • It wasn’t intentional, I just never bought meat at the store and rarely ate out. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was at Ansley Mall when the storm arrived in midtown. One loud crack of thunder from a nearby lightning strike was all I needed to remain under cover.

Where does Asshole live these days? I doubt that he is still by Dean? He interviewed with “XYZ Corp” a few years ago, but nothing came of it.

I believe he and his bride still live in the Grant Park-ish area. Dean’s basement/garage had about a foot of water from what I could see on the pictures.

  2. I failed to mention today that my plan to ditch Netflix has failed. Recently they added two new seasons of a show called “Midnight Diner” that I find interesting. And, they added a new series called “Home Game” that has 30 minute (ish) episodes about amateur sports played around the world. Steve, there was one episode on the Highland Games, not that you’d learn anything from it I’m sure.
