It rained yesterday, so that’s different in my life.

Apparently after my MRI was done an appointment to review it with the orthopedic doctor was supposed to be made, but wasn’t. I found this out late yesterday afternoon so when I called to schedule this appointment, they had already left the office.

Today and tomorrow we are having an internal hackathon at “XYZ Corp”, which means I may be incredibly busy the next two days. However, if the earliest orthopedic appointment occurs during either day I am going to have to apologize to my teammates because I am going to put my health over my participation.

While puttering around the house yesterday I took a photo that I wanted to upload to Instagram. In the process the upload stalled and after spending some time failing to figure out how to cancel the upload, I deleted the app from my iPhone. I’m going to see how long I can go without loading it back onto the iPhone in an attempt to be more productive.

Apple announced new Macs with their first generation in-house CPU yesterday too. Buying one would certainly make me more productive as well, buuuuut, I am going to hold onto my money for a little longer.

Hope all is happy and healthy in your world these days.

And a “happy” Veterans Day to all who served. Thank you.

I thought it was supposed to rain all day today, but it seems to be starting out sunny. Maybe I can get outside.

The Brown man seems much better today. We really thought it might be a one way trip to the vet yesterday. He just missed Aunt Nicole.

If I can get moving and pull the trigger, the bank will buy me a new indoor trainer ($1000 personal fitness allowance). I just have to get the receipt to them by Friday. Not that I need a new one… thoughts?

    • This tropical storm Eta is one of the strangest moving storms I have ever seen. It’s now looking as if it’s going to cut across Florida near my mother’s city and head to the Atlantic Ocean.

      Hurray for Brownie!

If you want a new one, do it immediately. How old is your current trainer?

If the new one would be better than your current one, I’d get the new one and sell or give away the old one. If it’s a wash, then I wouldn’t bother.

Just checked and rather than a receipt, you can “attest” the funds were spent. Let’s go shopping!

Current trainer was bought for Debbie when we lived in Tucker. I also still have all the parts for the “original” Racer-Mate, which is a seat mounted fan, driven by the top of the rear wheel, and you just rode your rollers. The first “wind trainer”.

  2. My body is all sorts of jacked up today. When I get this knee straightened out I need to start a routine of stretching and strength building.

I also want to purchase a trainer for winter but my first step will be to see what budget I can get away with… I feel very certain a smart trainer won’t be approved.

    • I really like my dumb CycleOps Fluid2 (it’s a few years, perhaps five years?, old now). When I am healthy enough to use it I can beat myself up nicely.

I just learned that CycleOps is Saris. Not sure if that has always been the case… My Fluid2 retails for $300. If memory serves me correctly I bought it at Performance Bikes (RIP), but I believe that REI sells them too?
