I think FedEx is have a laugh by fucking with me. I have had only two days during which I have scheduled out-of-house appointments this week, and FedEx has predicted delivery of my Apple purchase on each. Yes, once again my package has a delivery date assigned and today it should actually occur since the current status is “On FedEx vehicle for delivery”. Seriously FedEx, this isn’t funny.

They could have delivered anytime yesterday because I never left the house, but nooooo. I puttered around the house yesterday doing work, and doing some cleanup and organizing when I could wedge it in. For many reasons I will miss working from home whenever I am required to return to an office.

Last night I conjured up an idea for dinner that I will call “Thanksgiving Casserole”; okay, I admit that’s not an original idea. My casserole consisted of a box of herb stuffing, a bag of slender green beans, one large red bell pepper, two fake turkey patties, and some cranberry jelly; all items were purchased from Aldi. Each item was individually prepared to some degree and then mixed into in a casserole dish and baked for about an hour. The end result was surprisingly good, and perhaps could have only been improved by topping it with fried onions, which I did not have on hand.

I wanted to do some software learning last night, but watched another episode of “The Queen’s Gambit” instead.

More of the same today, with a PT appointment added.

Christmas is next week and it’s looking very likely that for the second year in a row I will not be mailing out a mass of Christmas cards. I guess this is my new tradition…

Hoe you are all doing well and remaining healthy.

    Sorry, I can’t house sit again…

Last night we went to the drive-through lights at Life University in Marietta. (We were supposed to go to the Botanic Garden lights “cheap nights” last week but that didn’t work out and I’m not paying the current prices.) There was no signage or employees that we could see after driving around for a while, so we gave up and parked in a campus lot and walked around on foot without paying. I much prefer to walk around anyway. Eventually we found the entrance, but if you can’t figure out how to direct me to it in the first place, or publish the driving route, then too bad, you don’t get my money. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Good morning from 1000 Peachtree!

So far, my morning has been a string of near misses. Power for the new boxes I was to connect and configure doesn’t fit the outlet (2 different kinds of twist-loc), so I had our electrician stop in and he’s on it.

Another box I had hoped to finish connecting- the engineer hasn’t sent the parts yet, so maybe when I come back in Tuesday.

A third box that was to be brought online Tuesday has been pushed into January, because the national engineers take most of the month off!!! I’m working, why aren’t they??? Ridiculous.

35 minutes on the Zwift. One of the actual “rides”- there were 750 riders!! I was late, so I was only in 540th place and marked a lap down! 🙂 It was… odd.

We finished Queens Gambit- not sure how they move forward after how it ended, but we’ll be waiting.

I wish Amazon would quit trying to play in the logistics business and turn their deliveries back over to FedEx. Quality in shipping has dropped significantly. I have had one package lost with a status of “handed to resident”, I wasn’t home so not sure who they handed it to LOL. I had a second package just say “Your package may be lost”. At least on both occasions Amazon refunded my money. I’m willing to bet that refund came from the seller and not Amazon too which is sad.

How is the knee doing Paulie?
