Just a shorty today because although today is another day off from work I have shit to get done.

Yesterday was okay — I did laundry, made trips to two different Aldi stores, and had a physical therapy session. The second Aldi trip was a search for Glühwein, a German mulled wine, that was not in stock at the Aldi closest to the ITP Estate.

Last night I participated in the most unusual Moonlite Tacky Light tour that we’ve ever had. We met at New Realm Brewing and wandered up the Beltline stopping occasionally to carol. We made it as far as Ponce City Market, at which time we turned around and headed back to the start. The plan was to sit outside at New Realm to eat dinner and drink beer. However, it was too cold and windy for my liking, and after drinking nice wash Glühwein the thought of cold beer wasn’t enticing, so I headed home.

On deck today is an attempt at voting, getting a haircut, a trip o Lowe’s, and so,e work in the yard since the weather is going to be spectacular. I think tonight I will dial everything back and settle in for a relaxing night of doing nothing.

Hope all is going well in your world.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 188.2 pounds (+1.4 from last week’s weigh-in); I think we all knew last week’s number was an anomaly, and I don’t think eating an entire frozen pizza at 10:15pm last night helped either.

  1. Well, that sucks. A new chore has just added itself to my list… The water in the shower wasn’t draining well, and when I raised and lowered the tub’s stopper handle it broke off in my hand — in a position that won’t allow water to drain most efficiently. Dangen!

Fulton County’s mobile poll booth is going to be at the Grant Park Recreation Center on Monday, December 28.

  3. Voting done, as is a trip to Lowe’s (more on this tomorrow). One thing I bought at Lowe’s was a suction drain stopper, this way of I can get the drain to stay open I can at least use this stopper as a stopgap fix. I wish I had bought and started using it prior to the handle breaking, because I knew the 50+ y/o hardware wouldn’t last forever.

I don’t know what happened on 85 North this morning, but my normal 55 minute roll during the Covid turned into 2 hours and a tour of North Fayette County! Waze said to get off at Exit 56, and routed me through Palmetto and Fairburn which I knew would be jammed up. I went east towards Tyrone and got the scenic tour.

We went out last night to gaze at the star confluence. I was a little disappointed- maybe it was oversold. Lot’s of folks had great pictures. One friend had the 3 moons of Jupiter as well!! That was cool.

    Have a great day, friends.

Slim Prickens brought his telescope to the Moonlight start last night (Beltline Eastside Trail) so we all got a close-up view of the planets and could see the moons and rings. Very cool.

The gas explosion you may have heard about last night at a northside apartment complex was where Easy Head Job lives—she and her unit are OK!
