Well this is annoying, amongst many things annoying me currently, is the fact that the calendar app on my Mac for which I pay an annual subscription seems to be getting worse in software quality; I nearly gave this post the date of January 4th, because that was the day being shown in the app’s icon this morning until I restarted the app. Fortunately, I knew this date was incorrect.

Saturday, January 9th, can’t get here quickly enough for me. By then I should have all of the tree work successfully finished, and will have discussed my knee issues with the orthopedist and have been told that all is as it should be. I’m trying to project the best outcomes here…

I should go out in the yard this afternoon to continue working the yard before the rain arrives. After all, I do have a digging bar now. ๐Ÿ™‚ However, the current condition of my knee is making me think that I should rest. Doing physical therapy and not having any pain after the surgery, may have given me a little too much bravado to do things, which may have set me back, hopefully not permanently.

Additionally, I need to start getting head’s down in coding so that I have plenty of current coding projects in case I need to interview for a new job this year; I feel that my skills have been getting rusty for awhile now.

I want to go to Aldi today, but will probably put going there off for yet another day as I attempt to use produce/products that are already in my possession. Through consumption and donation I am slowly making headway toward cleaning out my pantry, refrigerator, and freezer; this doesn’t annoy me.

In addition to watching Top Chef tonight “with” Betsy, I am also going to make a list of expenses to see if I can eliminate some of them, as well as making a growing plan using the new garden layout that I have conjured.

Hope that you are not annoyed and are remaining healthy.

It was a good birthday. Work, round bale, sushi for dinner, bonfire of dead pallets!! All good.

Started watching a bit of the results roll in last night, but realized it was going to be neck and neck (and neck and neck) all night. Looks like one race is decided and we can say so long to Q’anon Barbie. The other race might not go our way.

Happy hump day! Let’s hope the certification of electoral votes is a somewhat quiet affair.

    • Knowing that it would be close I paid no attention to the results last night.

Yes, let us hope that we don’t have any political shenanigans with the transfer of presidential power.

Glad you had a good birthday.

And this late breaking news (well, at 4:53 this morning) – both seats may go BLUE!

  3. Now if I could just get my body to stop aching…

I just don’t get it- did people vote for Perdue, then Warnock?
or -did they just vote for Perdue, and kip voting at all for Kelly?
you’d think the numbers would be identical for both races…รขโ‚ฌยฆ.

Anyway- happy Wednesday! no more political ads!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I should update y’all – since I’ve been too busy to spend much time here. On Christmas Day, or right around then, a tree fell on the camper. It bounced off, but we know the frame is cracked. Allan has been dealing with USAA, but camper claims are different than auto claims. We figure since it is older, they will end up totaling it. We are going camping the weekend of 1/16 – we think it will be ok for the short trip over to Augusta area. We really didn’t want to buy a new camper this year, wanted to wait a year or 2 when all the pandemic buyers bought & then realized they don’t actually use them, so there will be more used choices on the market.

    • That sucks about the camper. I hope that you can use it for as long as you need to before getting a new (used) one.

    • Steve says:

Well, $hit. Must have been a pretty big tree.

USAA is curious… they don’t do motorcycles but have a backdoor connection to Progressive. They don’t do manufactured homes, but have a backdoor to a carrier we use. I guess it’s a smart move on marginal/less profitable lines.

      • barb says:

It was dead, but at least a foot across. We cut it up (threw it over in the neighbor’s yard, its their tree) and fixed the fence on Sunday.
Allan has his Moto insurance thru Progressive (from USAA) as well.

And regarding voting a split ticket (literally, I’m listening to “Political Rewind” as I type this). remember, Kellie was appointed, and has not actually won a race. That loss is typical across appointed offices. She also had only been in office for a year, so had very little record to run on.

      • barb says:

I understand her being appointed, but I just don’t get how someone would vote for Perdue, then Warnock. I haven’t looked at the total # of votes, just wondering, so they just not vote for either one?
