Not much to report today. I spent all of yesterday doing chores and working. I did have a bit of fun popping over to Bonnie’s house and interrupting her choring to pick up a side table and share a couple of beers sitting on her porch. The Ansley Mall start for last night’s hash sounded appealing, but I had to keep STU in mind, so I returned home to gather items for it.

Today I will undertake a couple more WLF chores, including harvesting a few more radishes and some lettuce to be eaten at lunch. Of course there is that pesky thing known as “work” as well.

Tonight I will start making a pact with the weather gods so that they may change their mind about dropping some rain on Rutledge this weekend.

Hope your week has started well and that you are remaining healthy.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 181.8 pounds (+0.2 from last week’s weigh-in); I guess I shouldn’t have had that second helping of mac and cheese last night.

That Saturday rain forecast has been changing back and forth. It’s one thing to deal with rain on a regular campout where you’re just hanging out with no real agenda and hashing, but I really don’t want to find out what dealing with getting ready for and riding during rain is like. Not to mention in COVID times for the not-quite-fully-vaccinated crowd, the only rain option is to sit in your tent alone. Ooooh unless I go buy an EZ Up….

F*uckeye told me he bought a new tent and will be joining the Wee Little Bit and Glory Mole REI Basecamp 4 club. 😂 Now he just needs a new camp table and helmet and he can become a full-fledged matchy-matchy member. He’s already got a Trek! 😂 On that note, I’ll need to figure something out so that I don’t stumble into the wrong tent… 🤔

After shoveling out a weeks worth of emails and a couple calls, it was a pretty calm day.

Got out on my bike for 17, which didn’t feel too bad- especially with the tailwind I had at one point! Today I think there will be grass cutting to be done.

If Saturdays forecast is anything like last weeks for Rock Hill, the more I watched it, the less chance of rain. I hope it works out. Being caught in the rain is one thing, but starting in the rain is something else. Don’t forget the ziploc bags…

    Still no baby…

    • Good on you, Steve. 🙌🏼

Once I clock out today I’ll be pushing my hipster lawn mower around the front yard, and taking the weed whacker to the back. Also on today’s schedule, construction a new raised bed from cinderblock to house bush beans. Woot!

Okay, back at it so I keep the job from which I can clock out.

  4. Apparently some website was hacked, or an email list has been sold because I just received four bullshit sweepstakes winning emails to the same email address. Ugh.

You may already be a wiener!

  6. I just saw another US Foods semi drive down my street. Is there anyway/anywhere I can report this? I’m still fearful the trucks that size will snag my house’s cables.

  7. Steve says:

I’ll bet you it’s the same driver who just happens to know the neighborhood. Get a truck number and call them.
