Little did I know that yesterday was probably going to be a turning point in my life, a hashing check if you will. Yesterday I learned that the woman to whom I have been going to get my hair cut for at least a decade, is most likely leaving the business at the end of this month. She told me that COVID has eroded her business and she can no longer afford to try to make it work. And here o thought that my “broken” car seat, my inability to feel good all day, or getting into another paid survey were going to be the biggest moments of my day.

I also cooked last night. I made a tomato and “spinach” risotto in my Instant Pot. I say “spinach” because I substituted bok choy and pak choi from WLF for the spinach in the recipe. Honestly, it turned out rather well if I do say so myself.

Yesterday my effort to game the financial system was thwarted, and now I have to make sure my credit card charge gets reversed. I saw that Target was offering a $10 Target gift card with an online purchase of a $100 Apple gift card. I successfully made this transaction on Monday. Yesterday morning I realized that I intend to spend $200 at Apple soon, if no over time, so why not do it again to get another Target gift card. Before attempting my purchase I looked at the fine print to see if there was a one-per-customer limit, but didn’t see that stipulated, so I went ahead. And then Target canceled my order with no satisfactory reason for the cancellation. I tried again, and Target canceled my order again. 🤨 Oh well, I guess that I will have to make money the old fashioned way… getting paid to take surveys.

After breakfast this morning I will be headed out to WLF for a coup,e of hours of choring. I need to figure out some quiet chores since it will be futon early do do anything like run Wee Little Chipper.

As most of you know, and the majority of you will be participating, today I will be meeting up for lunch at Hankook Takorea at 1pm. I can’t wait! Bonnie, if you have time and chores to run afterwards, just let me know.

Tonight? Not sure yet.

Hope that you are happy and remaining healthy.

A turning point in your life because your hair stylist is getting out of the business? Umm.. clearly there is more to this relationship than you are letting on.

I finally remembered to call my sister and wish her a happy birthday. It was (sadly) a week or so ago, and she hit the 3/4 century mark. I knew it was close, as I know I was starting first grade and she left for college!

Despite having 3 different groups of contractors on site today, I will try to meet you for lunch. The boss will be here, so he can take some, and the telecom guy is here and he can take some.

Rego for Cheddarhead completed. Barb, let me know how I can help with setup. Oh, wait, I’m not supposed to know where the end is.

Cheddarhead, I ask F*ckeye about it, he says it’s all being taken care of. So, who knows. Allan may have to work the Peach Drop, so that should make it more interesting. I get back from Iowa 12/30. Im sure the morning of 1/1 we will have things to do, especially if it looks rainy.

Let us know if you can’t make lunch.

Paulie, I’m not sure I understand your question to me? I’ll text you. 😁

Went to the periodontist yesterday, 3rd time (3rd dentist) I’ve been told I need to do something about my teeth. Sooooo, I’ll be spending the big bucks to get 2 implants. Starting this next week, since dental benefits (as measly as they are) work on a calendar year. I’m so (not) excited.
AND, had to cancel the feta cheese survey because of this. Dang it!

In-laws head to Spain tonight, Mary said they have to get there 4 hours ahead. Not sure where she heard that, but whatever…… we will drive them.

  4. Made a fire for compost ashes yesterday morning. Imagine my surprise to find some hot embers remaining this morning. 🙃

I just had a KKGB sighting. She reports she’s in to clean out her office- going full time remote from now on. This was her first time in the building in almost 2 years.

    Tasty lunch!!!!
Now I’m at the eye doctor, the original doctor has retired, this place seems different.
Lots of new people. And, they are running behind…. I’ve never really waited here before. We will see, I might need to get a new eye doctor office.
