Happy Friday. I hope that you had a decent St Patrick’s Day. Mine was fine.

Early in the morning I drove out to Tractor Supply Co in Conyers. There I picked up a bag of chicken manure fertilizer, a bag of balanced fertilizer, and small posts to hold up my cucumber trellises. Upon returning home I did what I rarely do, went out and did the job for which I bought supplies. I deconstructed the two current cucumber trellises, which involved harvesting two Kale plants as well, hammered in the posts and secured all three trellises to them using zip ties. I *think* that I am ready for cucumber planting now. While at TSC I saw they had an array of seeds as well as bulbs for planting; the also had seed potatoes at a decent price. I don’t know why I never thought to see if they sold seed potatoes. I already am full stocked, perhaps next year.

I met my buddies Hank and Bill at Pancho’s at 3pm. Our ingenious holiday swap worked perfectly as we were on of the only tables occupied out on the large deck. We drank beer and were entertained by the squirrel that kept digging into the trash for green nacho chips, feasting on each one recovered.

Having a fully belly from beer, chips, and an early dinner I was back home by 6pm with no desire to go out again. I finally started watching the fourth season of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

After doing laundry this morning I will return home to weather the predicted storms and do more indoor choring.

Tomorrow I will do my weekly walk with Betsy and Bella, and then in the afternoon head over to Avondale Estates for the return of the Göthe Institute’s Frühlingsfest (Spring Festival).

I still haven’t decided what I will do Sunday.

Hope that you are well and have a fun weekend planned.

I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts.

  1. If you are in Georgia and have a view of the eastern skyline, I hope you are seeing this beautiful sunrise today

You are acting like a real retired person, went out to dinner and was home by 6? Are you going to start sitting on a park bench feeding peanuts to squirrels? LOL

    Hope to see you Sunday!

  3. Rats, I washed my “new” hoodie for the first time and even though I tied the hood pull strings together it managed to work its way complete out in the washer/dryer

work was somewhat show yesterday – so I watched St Elmo’s Fire. Its been forever since I’ve watched that movie.
what 80s movie should I watch today? Such decisions.
I’m listening to an 80s music station right now – I’ll stick with that decade today.

Last night went to The Wing to meet a few Parrothead friends for happy hour. 1 friend (from the 90s, before she had children) was there – do you ever look back at past friends & wonder how you were such close friends? We did so much together back in the day, and last night after an hour I was thinking, how can I change seats?

Tonight hash happy hour is a drive thru fish fry at Holy Cross, then to Sani’s house to eat. I’m not sure I want to do a Friday roadtrip to Tucker. Might just stay home & watch Survivor with Sally.

  5. Home from Home Depot and laundromat. I even managed to transplant some seedlings into a garden bed prior to the arrival of the rain.

Wordle in 2! I couldn’t have picked a better starting word- 3 letters in the right place and the 4th just off.

Busy day yesterday. Listened to GSU vs Gonzaga on the ride home. It was close in the first half, but not so much in the second. I love seeing the unknowns slay the bigger schools- so long, Kentucky. I’m sure Little sister is pissed, I think KY is his school.

I had high hopes of a nice ride today, then the weather got in the way.

    Indoor chores today…

    I’ll see some on Sunday!

I joined a group of hashers at The Elder Tree last night, it was fun. Good Dropkick Murphys cover band. Yoron was there and he showed me Wordle and a couple other variations. I even solved one for him! I’m really tired today….
