BRAG Day 2 was a bit of a slog. I rode nearly 69 miles, which I will have to do again today, and had difficulty. It’s probably a good thing that I am only doing BRAG Lite.

I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts; my starter today was SHARE

  1. I failed to get into two paid surveys, I am once again getting a little tired of their nonsense.

its all about how you answer, but then again, could just be too many 56 year old white guys answered before you. I still answer lots of the surveys, even thought I can’t do them during the week, and I rarely get in.

Wordle in 4, Mini in far too long.

It appeared the rain was light yesterday, so hopefully just cooled things off.

Debbie cooked 2 pork lions last night- one became dinner and one was cut down for BBQ and should really be tasty. The one we ate for dinner was excellent!

    Safe riding today…

Yesterday’s Wordle in 4 using GHOST. That was my starter word from the beginning and I thought I’d go back to it. Not so much!

    Mini in 50 seconds.

Bob has posted a couple pics on the FB machine: looking good, Paulie! 70 miles a day is no joke!

    • Barb says:

I never got Wordle yesterday- my brain wasn’t working.
Mini this morning in almost 3 minutes.

      • Jenka says:

I haven’t not gotten a Wordle yet, but I also don’t do it religiously every day. I do it MOST days, easily 6 out of 7, but I don’t want to be forced to do it.

Duolingo irritates the fuck out of me with its constant urging of the streak, like you’re a failure if you take a couple days off. That said, it obviously works, because I do it every day no matter how mad I am!

        • Barb says:

I’m just lazy on wordle sometimes, using words/letters I know are wrong, just to try to figure out where its going.
Because I really don’t care. I play for fun.

          • Steve says:

I think that’s a good technique. Sometimes, you just have to throw something against the wall to see what sticks. I had to do that the other day.

            Nagged by Duolingo? That’s a new one…

          • Jenka says:

Which is why I don’t do it every day, I just want to play for fun, not because I HAVE to.

Steve, I take it you also get the 15 messages/emails/etc. from Duolingo every day with their guilt trip. I need to look at the settings and see if there’s a non-guilt trip option. I am so much better motivated by positivity!

  4. Debbie says:

Wordle in 5 starting with AISLE. Had four of the five letters in four, but I guessed wrong on the first letter.

Stood holding horses two hours for the farrier this morning and my back is screaming. I may have to break down and find a chiropractor for me. (Irony since one of the horses has a chiro visit scheduled for this afternoon. Doh.)

Hope today’s BRAG ride is a good one for all!

I have a jacked up shoulder these days, I keep thinking it was a sleep injury, but I’m not so sure anymore. I really need my massage therapist to find me some time, but she lost a person at her office & she is so totally overbooked.
I may have to break down & go to a real doctor.

  5. David says:

Wordle in 3 starting with LEAST. Heardle in 1 second today, NYT Mini in 42 seconds.

I met with my orthopedist today, and I have clearance to get back on my bike! I about fell over when he said “Well, we’re just over 3 months out from the surgery and things are looking good.” I feel like I have packed at least a year of living into the last 3 months. Broken arm time is weird, just like pandemic time is weird. Throw a double hernia repair in the mix and then it really get weird.

I look forward to being back in the saddle again. Slowly, and carefully. As I told the surgeon, I know how to fall on a road bike. It was the mountain bike that got me.

    • Barb says:

      David- that’s awesome news.
I really need to get on my road bike someday again. Its just so dangerous on the roads anymore, and Silver Comet is boring, Arabia Mtn path is a roadtrip, etc. So many excuses I have………

      • David says:

Thanks, Barb! Riding on the Silver Comet can get boring, but I find having lunch in Rockmart mixes things up enough for me.

  6. And BRAG a wrap (for me)! In 90 minutes I jump on a bus and head back to Columbus.
