My first BRAG day was hard, I pushed my limits for 62 miles. It was a good day, and I even got to see ITP-Reader Steve at the intown party. I already have a BRAG name, it’s “Eeyore”. How apropos, because that was my nickname in college.
I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts; my starter today was CRUSH
They nailed it on “Eeeyore”! :-; Speaking of that, Wordle in 4, with three correct letters in place on the second and third attempt. I thought, what would Paulie type? Boom, 4th try was the charm. Mini in 42 seconds, Heardle in 3.
I talked myself out of the correct word, and then I went for it.
Wordle in 4. AISLE and SAINT were no help (Barb, that’s your hint).
It was nice to see all you braggarts yesterday. What stuck me as we stood around listening to the band was how many non-BRAG folks were there. Normally, the locals aren’t mixing in much, but it appeared a lot of the town showed up, which is nice.
Saturday evening, we went to a wedding reception (the actual ceremony was back in December/January in Scotland. Friends in the hunt.. a slight May/December (13 years difference) marriage, but whatever floats your boat.
Hal’s funeral was supposed to be today but got postponed due to Covid in the hunt crowd. I’ll be riding home from the rally, so I’ll miss it.
Hopefully, some tailwinds today…

I rode along to drop some of the BRAG kids off Saturday night – I sort of wish I was riding, but at the same time – not that much. The whole tent up & down thing every day doesn’t thrill me. I guess if I started riding more maybe I’ll want to do it again someday.
Started feeling a little crappy Saturday night, I think I’ve got a summer cold – my head is stuffy. I did take a covid test just in case – negative. We went out for breakfast & then spent the rest of the day being lazy.
Started Lincoln Lawyer – watched 3 episodes so far – we are enjoying it.
I kind of want to rewatch the Mathew McConaughey movie now.
Take another test… my first one was negative as well. I hope it’s just a summer cold.

Barb, there is always that Cadillac option on BRAG, where they set up the tents and do it all for you… those looked pretty sturdy, as tents go.
I feel much better today – I think I jsut needed a lazy day. but I may do another test later today – just to be sure.

I’m taking a week-long class next week on the northeast side of ATL. I had planned to bunk in with friends to minimize the commute, but my neighbor has already got our farm sitter locked up that week. She’s going to Scotland; she wins.
You know you’re a poor farmer when you can’t even grow crabgrass. I’m going to reach out to my hay guy for a consult on pasture management. We need to green this place up!
