Change of plans, headed homeward.

I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts; my starter today was STEAD

  1. Sadly neither mind nor body can handle two days of (perhaps primitive) camping…

  2. David says:

Took me all six tries on Wordle, I tried to be clever and start with PLAZA. Not recommended. NYT Mini in 41 seconds, so there’s that. Heardle fail, there was no chance in hell on that song.

I’m glad you got some time away. That’s always good, even if you’re not feeling it in this moment. We’re headed to Hilton Head for a week tomorrow. It’s going to be good to get away.

  3. Steve says:

I had 4 letters, including the first one and it still took 4 tries. Mini… eventually.

I’m glad you got some time away and sorry it wasn’t as rejuvenating as you had hoped. Keep moving forward, no matter how small the steps.

Chores and more chores today. Hay delivery Sunday and have to be ready to receive. Which apparently means pastures most be mowed so we don’t look like the place is abandoned.

Dinner tonight with some hunt friends at a winery in LaGrange. I hope they have beer.

Since I’m on vacation I did Wordle this morning, thought I’d try Paulie’s word. Wordle in 3 using STEAD. Not bad!

Braves game was amazing yesterday but it was HOT. We were in direct sunlight for the first hour and I am now burnt to a crisp. Note to self, get seats higher up in the section for a noon game.

Wordle in TWO starting with STARE. In 2 tries, 2 days in a row has me pretty chuffed – watch me not get it at all for the next week. lol

I can’t imagine primitive camping as being remotely comfortable anymore. My back and hips hurt on normal bed. I’d be crippled if I slept on the ground. #gettingoldersucks

We went to see Top Gun yesterday. It was enjoyable, and the reclining theater seats were awesome. I may take up going to the movies again! But then again it was $50 for 2 tickets, two drinks and a large popcorn, so not exactly a cheap date.

My collapsed tomato plant is still alive and tied to the deck so it has plenty of support now! Hope it hangs in there at least until some of its maters ripen. We had the first of many tomato sandwich lunches yesterday and it was yummy! The early over-achiever has small fruit, so I’m really excited about the two plants with bigger varieties.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  6. Home. After unloading all of the camping gear that I wound up not using I am sweating up a storm. I think I made the right decision to not camp, even if part of the decision was due to mental instability.

Trip consisted of two legs, Clayton GA, and Topton NC. I stayed at Jill’s cabin for five days.

Upon returning home I found a lot of unhappy plants, oversized cucumbers, a dead squirrel in my water barrel, and that some critter discovered the fish emulsion fertilizer and pierced the jug. That jug was $17, so I won’t make mistake again.

  7. As far as my mental health goes, there is really only one thing that will improve it, but I don’t have any idea how I am going to meet a woman to date.

  8. Barb says:

took me 6 on Wordle – totally forgot a letter that I had in the wrong spot & then didn’t use it on the next few tries. guess I should pay more attention.
