I forgot this yesterday, and this is probably old news to you. I heard that GE’s body has been found. Hopefully his family and loved ones get closure with this.

I am a little sad that I will be missing Oakhurst Porchfest tomorrow. The weather should be perfect. I enjoyed going each year, especially when my personal life was different.

Tomorrow marks the eighteenth anniversary of InsideThePerimeter. Holy. Shit.

I solved today’s Wordle in five attempts; my starter today was HAZEL

  1. NYT Mini Crossword in 1:08

  2. Fingers crossed that the M6 behaves this weekend. I already alerted the dealership of my concern and that I will be back next Wednesday. This needs to be a quick fix because I am going out of town again a week from Sunday.

Wordle frustrated me today. 3 correct letters in 2 starting with WEARY. Then a long slog down to the bottom, but I escaped total disaster by getting there in 6. Mini in 59.

My wife has 3 dads, and her adopted but real dad died 2 years ago. Now the bio dad is trying to clean up his legacy and is visiting for the first time in more than a decade. If you listened to Barnes, Leslie, and Jimmy on 99X back in the day you may recall their acronym SOFE for Significant Other Forced Event. I present to you Exhibit A.

I think I can ride on Sunday. I’m gonna need it.

    • Huge fan of 99x back in the day.

      Good luck!

Hope you can get out for a ride Sunday. I briefly considered bringing my bike, but with the luck I have lately I don’t want to chance getting stuck somewhere with it. See Also: Boulder CO trip, 2007(?).

One of the costs of having love in your life. That love comes with baggage. Whether that baggage is worth the love is up to you! For me, it is one thousand percent worth it.

      • David says:

I’m so glad for you, Jenka! That’s the way it should be. You’re right, and good lord, do I have my own baggage.

        • Jenka says:

Yep, second time’s the charm! The best thing to come out of my first marriage was clarification on what truly makes me happy.

And the dog. I love that dog.

  4. Jenka says:

My bestie lives at Hansell and Rosalia, so we met at Spoon for dinner last night. I looooove Spoon, but that is probably nostalgia from when I lived 5 blocks from it and it was either Spoon or the Shed to choose from. Heh!

Feral weekend this weekend (meaning no kid) so there will be much junk food and TV watching. Adult TV watching (swears, not porn)!

    • David says:

I so miss the Shed. I do like Spoon for takeout, or a drink at the bar. Otherwise the vibe is a bit too stiff for my tastes. I will say that Spoon’s food is 100% consistent, I’ve never had a meal that was off in any way. Little Azio is the same way, and so that’s my go-to on take-out nights.

      • Jenka says:

I was a Shed regular. I was there every Wednesday for slider night, most Fridays for a burger, and many other days, too. I was even in their promotional video they did when they got a new chef! I miss it so much.

Back at the mountain for pre-work work day #2. A short day yesterday and might be similar today.

15 miles on the CX. Such a beautiful day.

  6. Hello from West Columbia, SC. I have stopped for lunch, and will make my way to the hotel in a couple of hours. So far so good with the M6. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t act up after lunch.

    • Made it to Columbia, and checked into hotel. Funny, I stopped in West Columbia because I wanted pizza for lunch. Upon parking my car at the hotel I see that it sits directly behind a Mellow Mushroom. Oops. Lol.

Wordle in six, mini in 1:29 making up for yesterday’s awesome luck.

I’m not sure I like being referred to as the second administration; I prefer Trophy Wife! 😉 And I like to think of my baggage as Louis Viton.

Great ride last night on my favorite horse who reminded me why he’s my favorite! Twilight rides have an abundance of wildlife and he just marches right by all of it without a care in the world. We rounded one corner and came within 10 feet of a doe with twins. That would have had me on the ground if I’d been on Mickey.

Have a great weekend – feral or otherwise.
