I made a pretty decent Impossible meat meatloaf for dinner last night. Thankfully I remembered to add the eggs, for which I made a trip to Kroger to buy yesterday morning, before putting the concoction into the loaf pan to bake.

If I can motivate myself this morning I should do some serious coding training. I need to keep the momentum going.

I solved today’s Wordle in six attempts; my starter today was RADON. I just couldn’t envision today’s word.

  1. I don’t want to jinx myself, but I *almost* feel healthy today.

Phew, Wordle in 3 starting with LEAST. I needed a win.

My double-booking ended up in my favor last night, the first thing canceled as I hoped and the second thing, pizza and a beer at Fellini’s with my friend Scott worked out. I had multiple beers, but the second and beyond started with the word root.

Today is a massage day and boy do I need it. And then Blue Ridge. I need that too.

Wordle in 3 – very good lucky 2nd guess word after starting with Paulie’s word.
Mini I thought was going to be horrible, but then the down words I knew, so got it is 55 seconds.

Since it was a rainy day – made a soup recipe I had forgotten about – I was trying to think of something to use Spinach in. Its a 5 main ingredient soup. Chicken broth, tortellini pasta, diced tomatoes, spinach & cream cheese. We added chicken & onion (& spices) to it. Threw it in stages into the crockpot – it hit the spot last night. Annette & Mark gave us some old runner rugs for the camper – and the color matches just fine – almost like we planned it.

  4. Back from a Lidl run. Went specifically for a loaf of bread, for meatloaf sandwiches, and wound up spending $24. Of course I didn’t need the $1.50 pumpkin pie, but it was a $1.50 pumpkin pie! 🙂

  5. This bit of funny courtesy of my brother, Owen Wilson trailer.

Wordle in 4 starting with TREAD. Somewhat annoying when you have all but the first letter in 3!

Debbie is still coughing, I’m still coughing. At least I don’t feel bad. We’ve thought about going to the doctor, but not sure what they could do for us.

We wrapped “Murders in the building” last night. I think this would classify as a very old movie term- screwball comedy.

Meeting with the park later to go over last year and talk about this coming year. Starting the next 50 years of the Games!

    • My third guess was the only thing I could see, yielded four correctly placed letters. It took me all six to solve.

Hopefully your collective cough goes away quicker than mine, which is still rearing its ugly head.

We finally made appts for the 2nd covid booster shots – today at 1130!

BTW – looking forward to hockey on Sunday – 1 pm start –

Want to meet for mexican – Frontera (opens at 1130) or pizza – Vinny NY Pizza (opens at 1200)?

SOOOOO glad it’s Friday. This week was normal, but normal these days is very hectic.

Yesterday I couldn’t find my wallet, figured I had left it at home. Got home, couldn’t find it, started freaking out. This morning I drove to work and parked in the parking garage, grabbed my purse and started getting out of the car, then thought “waitta minute!” There it was in the footwell of the passenger seat. Yesterday morning I had braked suddenly and my purse fell into the footwell. Black wallet, black interior. WHEW!

Going to see Sarah Silverman tonight at Symphony Hall! Our sitter cancelled (ugh) so Kevin is staying home and I’m going with my bestie Sarah. Dinner at Lure first. Yay!

  9. Forgot to mention that I saw a new, smaller bird of prey in my front yard yesterday. Such wildlife ITP!

  10. Ooh the sun is nice. Working my jigsaw puzzle because the great light make it possible to see the muted colors in this puzzle.

  11. Debbie says:

Wordle in 5 starting with PAINT. I was ready in 4, but had to use my head. Groan.

I’m drinking warm water with honey and bourbon at 10:00 am to try to get my chest to open up. I started with a steam shower. Unfortunately, I think my little Vicks Vapor pucks had expired so it wasn’t as helpful as hoped. Those things are great when they are fresh!

  12. There is a chance of sleet/snow tomorrow night? Well, it will be interesting to see how my fragile transplants handle this…

  13. Hooray, season 2 of Clarkson’s Farm is now on Amazon Prime!

  14. Debbie says:

I just had to post this. Mostly tongue-in-cheek, but the mental health benefits for the author are really interesting. Kind of like it being easier to find a job when you have one, is it easier to find a relationship when you have one … of a sort?

  15. Bob says:

Hey Paulie, have you looked at ChatGPT at all for your coding? Another friend is a software guy and started playing with it and said it is next level for helping to write code.

    • No, I’ve not looked at it yet.

    • David says:

From what I understand, it’s next level as long as you have the skills to clean things up. I haven’t been able to get into the platform because it’s always on overload. They’re going to launch a $20/month program soon that will guarantee access. It can write Excel formulas and VBA programming code as well.

      • Bob says:

Agreed David, I hear it will spit out something that is 90% usable so all you have to do is clean it up a bit. That alone can save hours of work.
        Pretty interesting concept.

    • I just have to hope it doesn’t put me out of a job before I can get another job.
