It’s been a fairly boring week thus far. Boring can be good, but it’s mostly been boring because the extent of my activity has been either going to the grocery story, or watching tv.

I made myself dinner last night. I cut up a bunch of peppers and some onions, sautéed them on a very low heat for nearly an hour, and served them with pasta. It was pretty good, but can be improved. The biggest revelation that I made is that I may need to start cutting jalapeños using a glove because no matter how many times I scrubbed my hands, I inflicted pain upon myself by touching parts of my face all night.

More of the same today. Dinner at Betsy’s, I believe it’s her turn to cook.

Wordle: five, starter was NUDGE
Connections: perfect, Purple > Yellow > Blue > Green

Wordle in 5, no misses on Connections.

I’m attending the funeral this morning for Minty’s mother who passed away on Monday at age 94.

My friend Jamie got fired by his toxic boss yesterday. If anyone has any leads on project management or sustainability positions please let me know.

Nice evening last night for run up and over Kennesaw Mtn. Ran into Libby and Kristina who later joined us for parking lot shenanigans. Spooky Stride tonight at Scofflaw. Come join the fun. Still dealing with mom issues. Makes my heart ache. Wordle in 4 starting with BRIEF. Almost a bust in Connections. Got hung up on that BLUE category. 3 mistakes. Purple, blue, yellow, green. Looks like another beautiful day. Condolences to Minty and her family and sorry about your friend’s job loss. I’ll keep my ears open.

  3. Just spent the $60 I earned a few weeks ago by doing a paid survey. I spent it all in one place, Amazon, as a portion of the prices of a rolling cart for my Blackstone griddle. I have been watching the price of this cart fluctuate between $90-$140, and today it was priced at $88, so I pulled the trigger.

Dinner with some old time Parrothead friends at Tsunami Taqueria in East Cobb last night – that place doesn’t thrill me. Food is ok – but………. not sure why, I just don’t really like it.

I am on a Connections fail this week – my brain is not getting it.

Wordle in 5 – all good guesses – so not unhappy about it.

  5. Feeling a touch guilty. In an effort to clean up WLF I overturned a small bucket containing things I wanted to toss, only to find that a cute little lizard was inhabiting it. There was nothing I could do once the items were spilled, so I walked away to let the lizard figure things out.

Condolences to Minty, although I don’t know her. My Gram died at 94 and that was a good, long life, but of course you’re never prepared.

Yesterday was loooong but it went well. After work I went to my friends house and she made a delicious dinner of chicken thighs and beans ‘n’ rice. Back at it today with a very full day.

I took a first look at Connections and nothing was jumping out at me. I’ll look at it again later.

Heardle 70s – 1 second. All the others – fail.
I hadn’t listed to those in a while – I saw my link & thought – why not???

    Wordle in 5.

Shoveling out 2 weeks of email, putting out fires started last week and otherwise having fun!

Broke down and tried to wash my truck because boy, was it overdue. I didn’t really have the right soap, so it will get done again soon. Even bought some wax! Debbie’s shiny truck makes mine feel bad.

  9. Found some white electrical tape in the basement and have used some to mark my trays. If this doesn’t last long I will seek out some paint.

The reason this is important is that it’s too easy for me to absentmindedly turn the tray 180°, thus making it impossible to tell which seeds I planted into a given row.

  10. Just returned from a two mile “litter” walk. It’s sad that I can fill three bags (old compost bag) of litter on a two-mile walk, but I did. At least I got a little exercise in the process.

A lot of people are pigs.

Oh, and when I got in today, in reviewing my emails, we were all permitted to work from HOME today as it’s the retiree luncheon and they needed the parking! A little late, don’t ya think? Wednesday is our “anchor” day when everyone is supposed to be on site.

Back from a visit to a friend (Ken) at Kennestone – he got a staph infection from a cut on his leg. He didn’t feel good, but didn’t think anything of it (had just taken a red eye flight) – thinking it was the flu or something coming on. Then it got worse – went to the ER Friday night, and had been spending some serious not fun time in the hospital. It’s under control now, but……I guess it wa scary for a few days. He should get sprung tomorrow or Friday. Its the crazy little things that can get ya……..
