My pizza last night was pretty good, but I don’t have a lot of experience making pizza at home. I need to learn to stretch the dough thinner, and have something like semolina flour to keep the dough from sticking to the pan on which I bake it. But, it was pizza, so how bad could it be?

I’m still in bed, listening to the heater turn on often to heat the house, as I try to convince myself that I really should get up soon since I have a couple of chores to accomplish today.
I’m a fan of the first flight out, but um, 5:39 AM take-off is a bit much even for me. I guess it depends where I was headed. I do have 7:00 AM flight to NYC a week from today.
I was in NYC for a few days after Christmas last year and it was amazeballs. Have fun!

the ONLY direct flight every day from Cedar Rapids to Atlanta. My time is too valuable to take a connecting flight

Debbie is flying to Baltimore tomorrow on a 0700 flight. She’s leaving here at 0400. I tried to convince her to fly tonight and just add 1 hotel night, but no. FF ticket, so easily changeable.

I am seeing first hand why I have been avoiding Power BI like the plague. However the time has come for me to learn it, so I’ll continue to grit my teeth. I got half of a new presentation written yesterday. If I can finish it up today I can set that shit aside for a while.

Going to test my creek this morning. It’s going to be so cold. Then errands and a little Christmas shopping. GUTS run tonight at Kennesaw Mountain.

Not sure I’m up for the polar plunge! I test the creek for Ph, Dissolved oxygens, conductivity, temp, etc. The vitality of the creek. I would like to be able to test for bacteria such as e-coli but have yet to get that certification. It’s through the Georgia Adopt a Stream program.

I don’t expect traffic to be too bad when I roll out Sunday. However, I hope to be on the road no later than 6:00am.
I would be dropping Laura off at the airport at noon on Monday and heading south from there. I would not expect much traffic at all on Christmas day. Returning on Friday so would hopefully miss all the weekend craziness too.
I’m leaning towards going, will make up my mind today.

Laura and Travis are going to New York. I have zero desire to ever go there so the 2 of them can go and save money by me not going.

We will be flying out on Christmas day about noon. The airport tends to be busier than you’d think on Christmas. Not nearly as busy as usual, but still a lot more crowded than one would expect.
Not only did some of the drywall happen yesterday, but my contractor tells me that 2/3 of the counters are going to be installed today! COUNTERS! That, like, I can put a plate on! I can only dream of such luxury.
Traffic is so light this week, I am loving it!

Home from Waschsalon. My fear that they’d have frozen pipes was unfounded, but I think the brutal weather kept some customers away. Since my second chore involved entering a grocery store I chose to defer doing it until the new year.
Putting clean clothes away I thought I had lost one of my cycling socks. Fortunately it was clinging to a pair of cycling shorts.
