Another busy day today, my third and last Friday of this trip. I’ll be returning sometime within the next week, probably to find raccoons and rats have taken up residence in the ITP Estate…

The question on everyone’s mind: Who will set Barb up for another Wordle deuce today?

Wordle: three, my starter was CHORE
Connections: perfect, Green > Yellow > Purple > Blue

  1. David says:

I made it in 2 using TRICK. One miss on Connections.

I am headed to Columbia, the capital of South Carolina versus Colombia, the country. Back tomorrow afternoon. Yet another accounting professor conference.

  2. Steve says:

Wordle in 4. My starting word was no help.

A busy day yesterday. At one point, I had 1 Teams call going and 3 other chat sessions, all of which were important. Bother..

A half inch of rain, so the gravel roads for tomorrows’ ride shouldn’t be too sloppy.

Getting on a call at 8 already scheduled for 12 hours, because sometimes that’s how we have to roll.

  3. Sally says:

Wordle in 4 starting with BOOTH. No mistakes in Connections: Purple, Green, Yellow, Blue.

  4. Bob says:

Wordle in 3 starting with TRACE, I may have been better off with my regular REACT.
Perfect connections Yellow-Green-Purple-Blue. I got some lucky guesses.

Sorry about the rain last night but it was NEW BIKE DAY!! I picked up a Trek Checkpoint that will handle both road and gravel duties. Can’t wait to get out and ride it!

Heading up to Hiawassee with The Deaner for a weekend of hanging with Brint and some motorcycle riding. Weather looks nice but a little chilly.

    • Still don’t understand gravel riding… oh well, my shortcoming I suppose.

Have fun in Hiawassee. Tell Brint that I say Hey, and wish him a speedy recovery.

      • Jenka says:

I don’t understand it either, but I also don’t understand mountain biking or trail running, so I’m clearly in the minority.

      • Bob says:

The appeal of gravel riding is all the miles with about 1% of the cars. You are much less likely to get hit by a car on a dirt road.

It’s not a shortcoming, it’s just not for you. Not everything has to be. I love riding super technical mountain bike trails, I love the adrenaline. Not a lot of people like or understand it and that’s OK. We have a limited amount of time on this earth so do what finds you joy.

  5. Barb says:

here are my choices so far – what to start with….????

Wordle in 3 starting with TRACE, I may have been better off with my regular REACT.
Wordle in 4 starting with BOOTH.
I made it in 2 using TRICK.
    three, my starter was CHORE

  6. Debbie says:

Wordle in 2 starting with PLANT. Go Barb, go!

  7. Jenka says:

You know why I have nothing to report? Because I didn’t do anything last night, and it was glorious!

  8. My ass is clenched this morning after paying off two large credit card bills. Stupid healthcare!

  9. David says:

I’m in South Carolina, awaiting a much needed Starbucks fix. I’m an hour away from Columbia.

  10. Barb says:

nothing exciting going on up here –

we are going to a Total Wine wine tasting tonight though – Mark & Annette scheduled it & then decided to go to St Croix for a long weekend.
South American wines is the subject matter.

    • The brewery to which I went last night, Cueni Brewing, has monthly beer and cheese pairing events. Pairing beer and cheese, that sounds familiar… 😀 I think I will be here again for their next one, I just may buy a ticket.

  11. Barb says:

    yellow – green – blue – purple –
Blue was a wild ass guess- I had no idea what the category might be, but thought for some reason they might be related.

  12. Dead tree in front of Florida house has been felled. I kinda feel badly, like I am taking care of all of the chores that I should have done for my mother when she was alive?

    • Barb says:

yes – you should have done some of these chores. But -what do they say – Hindsight………

      • To be fair to myself, the tree felling was only made possible to the fence removal which happens last Christmas. A lot of the in house cleanup could have never happened with all of the stuff my mother crammed into this house.

  13. Barb, Debbie, Steve: are Saddle Sores and Public Enema having a birthday party, or have I received a phishing Evite invitation via text messaging?
