Discovered I don’t have enough time to process a request to renew my Global Entry status, so this morning I am headed to see if I can obtain TSA PreCheck for my travels this year.

Wordle: four, my starter was GRAIN
Connections: perfect, Yellow > Green > Purple > Blue

    1st!
I’m up early to get some work done before I head to Emory to get my 2nd part of the brain study – the “fun” part -the bloodwork & lumbar puncture.

Paulie- where are you going for the TSA Precheck appt? If its Staples – you can schedule an appt. When we 1st did it – we got the approval in a day or so, but then it too a little while to get the Known traveler #.
Did you look into getting the plane ticket ?

    • I was going to comment that you missed out claiming 1st, and then I saw that you did. lol

I have an appointment at Staples. I entered all of the information online and have my documents at the ready, so I hope all goes smoothly. How did you pay for it? Pay online after approval?

Still looking at flights. Contemplating trying to see a Bundesliga game in Germany after the ride week. Games start at the end of August.

    Not 1st!! hahahaha

Wordle in 4. My starter gave me the first 3 letters correctly! A deuce would have been sheer luck.

What is the trip you’re planning? Non-hash related?

I accomplished a lot yesterday, but still more to do. WFH Wednesday threw me off as I kept thinking it was Thursday.

A little ride after work and when I thought most of the wind had died down. I could feel it carrying me out and the plan was to ride gravel routes back into it, which worked well. 15 miles.

I was about to let George out this morning when I noticed 2 deer in the pasture. We don’t really see them often, which surprises me as we were overrun with them at JEFDSDR.

    • Well, not hash-related, but being done with people who still hash (Sal, Barb, Allan). At the end of August we are doing the BRAG Bruges to Amsterdam cycling trip, on which we sleep on a canal boat each night.

I had Global Entry which I intended to renew before it expired in 2020. I’ll give you three guesses to figure out what interrupted that plan. 😉 According to Da Gubment Global Entry processing will currently take 4-6 months, so I missed my opportunity.

Good job on the ride. It appears the weather will be favorable tonight for a short ride followed by beer drinking.

  3. For whatever reason the other day Kroger had Libby’s canned pumpkin on sale for 25¢/can! I was buying canned pumpkin anyway, so I put back the $2/can Kroger brand, and bought four cans of the Libby’s instead. Weird.

The white chicken chili came out perfectly! Another easy crockpot recipe I can make from now on. 10 minutes in the morning and it cooks on low all day. Adding it to the regular rotation!

Watching the latest season of Top Chef (season 21), which we started a while back. So far, I do miss Padma but I like the new host.

  5. Watching the robins go in and out of their nest with worms is amazing.

However, I just saw them harass a squirrel so that it wasn’t near their nest, which was more amazing!

Afternoon off- time to go ride!!
