It’s interesting to be an out-of-touch person. Yesterday I went to Target to buy a new rugs for a bathroom, one to step on when getting out of the shower, and one to step in when using the toilet. Turns out, the latter is no longer made? I couldn’t find a single toilet rug in Target. And since Bed, Bath, and Beyond is no longer in business, I couldn’t think where else I would look for one.

Yesterday afternoon turned out to be unusual. In getting my bike for the ride I discovered that the front tire had gone flat. Then, when I arrived at the start, I discovered that I had driven over wet yellow road paint and got it on my tires and car. WTF? I think the paint splatter happened on my drive to the start since it was also on my bike tire. I replayed my drive in my head, and have no idea where this occurred. But, now that I think about it further it may have happened on my drive home after Tuesday night’s ride. Oh well…

Wordle: three, my starter was DAILY

That’s because as a society we have collectively finally admitted that toilet rugs are disgusting.

Woohoo, Friday! I am so happy it’s Friday. We were going to go up to the cabin for the weekend which we do every Memorial weekend, but we scrapped that since we are now taking Finn to his mother’s on Sunday and hopping a plane on Monday. My holiday weekend has been extended, unfortunately, because on Monday we fly up to Massachusetts for the funeral on Tuesday. But, such is life. I’m actually very glad to have some down time tomorrow and Sunday.

we have 2 toilet rugs – (that I switch out when I am home – I wash them)
I hadn’t thought about that they don’t sell anymore. I just have a small square one I have so my feet don’t get cold on the tile at home.
(and yes – I might look at Walmart or wherever next time I’m out shopping – this intrigues me)

and Jenka- sorry for the circumstances – but 105 – it should be a good celebration of life for your Aunt.

      • Jenka says:

Oh, it totally will be. We have all been in amazement that she lasted this long, and that her life was so full. It’ll be a wonderful celebration. And thank you!

    • While I don’t disagree, they have a defined purpose.

      Good luck with your trip.

    more storms, more tornado sirens.
Tom said they move all the patients out into the hallways.
Mom basically slept thru it – they are back in the after about 30 minutes
He’s hoping to see the doctor this morning – but with the storms, who knows what the schedule is now.

I did puzzles for the first time in a couple weeks.

Connections: perfect! Yellow > purple > blue > green. Surprised the purple category was so easy.

Surprisingly for me, I had to use two hints in Strands.

Wordle in 3, starting randomly with GLEAM. Coulda been 2.

A quiet evening after the ER. I’ve reached out to my cardiologist to see what he wants to do. He may be out of bullets.

Safe travels, Jenka. A celebration, for sure.

Humid as hell right now, last night on the ramble I was melting. This morning loading up my motorcycle and I may need another shower.

  7. Just had a power outage. Feared that I heard a transformer explode, but things are thankfully back now.
