The early candidate for this year’s BRAG theme is “Overnight Rain”.

I was having a very good ride yesterday until the course went into a 1.75 mile gravel road section, where I proceeded to get a rear flat tire about midway through. I’ve changed plenty of tubes in my time, but for some reason I couldn’t get my CO2 inflator to behave and exhausted two cartridges without getting any of it into the tube. Fortunately one of our riders had a small hand pump and we got back underway. With six days of riding ahead of me and perhaps no way to change a tube, I am concerned. Perhaps I will seek out a bike shop in the next couple of days.

isn’t there a bike shop at camp so you can get that sort of stuff?
    there always used to be.

    Hope today is uneventful.

    Wordle in 3.

Good morning from Las Vegas. It took a while to get here yesterday, beginning with a 50 minute taxi in ATL. Perhaps they had a runway down? I’ve never had a wait like that.
(and besides the water issue in the city, I heard the airport lost power yesterday afternoon!). The connection out of Denver was at least an hour late, but as I was not really in any rush…

I found the workout area with lots of machines, so maybe I can be active. There will be a LOT of walking though.

All you BRAG folks have fun… maybe next year I’ll join you. On your left…

why don’t you take a direct flight to Vegas Steve?

      • Steve says:

Delta was outrageously expensive, like another $200! I don’t like wasting the banks money. And im coming home via Austin, and they have nice restaurants in the airport and live music.

I guess my time seems more valuable – but that’s when I’m flying for personal reasons. I haven’t had a business trip in forever & ever.

A $200 difference in airfare these days is not that crazy. Flights are generally a lot more expensive now than they were even 5 years ago.

    busy weekend –
We headed out to Conyers late afternoon, traffic wasn’t too horrible – got there at 6pm.
Got the camper set up in one of the former horse pastures – (they keep the horses in another area now.)
Good times all weekend with old friends – everyone is so spread out now – (SW FL, Virginia, SC, N GA) it so nice to be able to catch up.
Party Saturday night had approx. 50 people – weather was perfect.

Home by noon Sunday- stopped by the Black Sheep hash that was just a little north, JoAnna lives across the street from the hash ending, so stopped in for a quick visit with her too. Then off to get a pedicure & then dinner outside on the deck.

Flight tonight departs at 10:30pm – we will park at the fire house & take Marta from the West End station

Happy Monday! I can’t believe I have to work the WHOLE week this week! Oh the humanity!

You all were doing exciting things this past weekend and I did nothing. I prefer it my way! Heh. We went to Wisteria for dinner on Friday, they did normal business except they could not offer tap water. Saturday we had tickets to the movies at Madison Yards but the theater closed due to no water and they sent me a refund. We decided to head east for lunch and went to Brick Store, which was delightful. I did nothing all day yesterday and did not leave the house. It was awesome.

Finn has camp this week but since it’s at his school and the hours are the same, it basically feels like a continuation of the school year. Next week he goes to sleepaway camp! Ooooooooooh!
