Another day, another mishap. Yesterday was a lost cleat bolt.

Another night, another storm. Last nights storm started right after I got into my tent, and brought down a limb which fell in between of three tents, one of which was mine.

It’s 5:15am and someone has stated an incredibly loud generator.

Today we ride to Milledgeville.

Wordle: four, my starter was QUAKE
Connections: one mistake, Blue > Yellow > X > Purple > Green

hey – the limb didn’t hit any of the tents? The rain started after you were in your tent? Its gonna be a good day.

you guys are camping near the RVs? Loud Generators are no fun.

Flight to Iowa that was supposed to leave at 2239 did not depart on time – I guess our originally planned pilots were delayed, so they had to scramble for 2 new pilots. Finally took off 2315 or maybe a little later.
Touched down in CR at 0015 – when I checked my bag in ATL I asked the girl to add a Sky Priority tag to see if it would be 1st off the plane. (you aren’t supposed to get that unless you are gold medallion or higher) – She did – and it was the 1st one on the belt last night.

Sleep from 0115-0630 – I’ll be ready for some sleep tonight.

Dude, that is so awesome! What a nice attendant. Having your bag first off the plane when it’s the middle of the night makes a huge difference.

      • Barb says:

I guess if you joke around & be nice to someone working the desk late at night – it works.

    Wordle in 6!

A long day at the show, but learned a bit and made some useful contacts with vendors for a project about to go to bid. My hearing aides are doing their best, but a heavy Indian accent is no help.

Found the treadmill before dinner and ran! Didn’t go too fast so was able to sustain it for longer than I have been lately. Maybe there’s hope.

Hope the weather holds while you’re riding. Rain in camp is just annoying.

Are you at a trade show or something? Curious!

      • Steve says:

Cisco Live! (the exclamation point is part of the name).

Network geeks, vendors, classes, that sort of thing. The timing is perfect for some stuff we have going on.

        • Jenka says:

Oh yes! I totally knew that was happening but did not connect the dots. That should be fun!

wordle in 4 with Paulie’s start word –
thought I wasn’t going to get it after the 3rd try only had 1 letter in the wrong spot.

I can’t tell if you’re having fun or not. Is it fun? I hope so!

Not sure if I told you all that we are having two trees taken down. They are so large, and the space between our house and the neighbor’s is so tight, that Boutte got a permit to close the street for the crane. Well, it was supposed to happen today but the city arborist won’t issue a permit for one of the trees, saying it’s healthy. The Boutte arborist says it’s a high risk. So we’re on hold until they duke it out.

    • Steve says:

…which reminds me I still have dead tree pieces I need to find a dumpster for. I may even have to borrow a skid steer to move them as I don’t know if my tractor can do it- they are that big.

Unless it’s an imminent danger, I vote to leave it. the company’s arborist has a financial interest… the city’s does not.

      • Jenka says:

I thought that, too, but it does have very large dead branches. Plus, it is directly in front of the definitely diseased tree behind it, and it would be almost impossible to get that one out without first taking this one down.

        • Barb says:

City of ATL has crazy rules on getting rid of trees, which is good (& bad).
Hope you can get it figured out.
