I’ve long since believed that the Monday following the Super Bowl should be a national holiday — so I am taking a holiday from blogging today.
I’m still playing “catch up” at work because I missed the better part of last week and have a ton on my plate for today. I am also worn out because of all the preparation for and partying at my Super Bowl party (thanks to all of you who came over, I thoroughly enjoyed myself). And due to falling off the marathon training schedule this weekend and some of my chronic physical ailments I am suffering a touch of depression today.
I’ll be back tomorrow. Until then, talk amongst yourselves and I’ll pipe up occasionally.

Sorry we missed your party – Allan decided he wanted to WATCH the game, and we know that a party means more conversation than watching. Plus, after that Black Sheep hash that was supposed to be short & sweet, (not that we really thought it would be, BUT….) we were both tired & thought beer drinking closer to home in Marietta would be the best idea.
The best part of the night was all of the “shooosh”-ing that occurred for the commercials. 🙂
I still have a lot of beer because attendance was lower than in years past. If anyone swings by my house before I do feel free to take one or two.
I only wished it hadn’t rained last night, things will be a littler harder to tidy up because of it.
Hey Gentri — I think that I’ve identified the leak from that toilet. It looks like the flexible hose that attaches the water line to the toilet has started to fail. I’ll grab a new one today and see if that fixes my problem. This probably started to happen when the water meter was changed out and I turned the water back on.

As usual, thanks for all of your hard work and a great party, and yes, you just might find me on your back porch with a cold one if the weather clears up a bit later!

PS If all the fix requires is a new $8 dollar stainless line consider yourself VERY lucky!
I will consider myself lucky if that is all it will take (plus a new ceiling tile for the basement of course). I just hope that the line is not corroded onto the pipe. I will not get my hopes up yet because one project seems to beget another in my house.
SUPER Party last night! I think the party was a perfect size last night. Your Super Bowl party is one of my top 10 fun times each year! 😉 Though I am sorry you had to miss some of the fun by having to baby sitting. 🙁

Hey Paulie – sorry I missed your party. I’ve been laid up sick since last Wednesday and am finally going to the doctor today for some drugs (or let’s hope!). Hoping to see some photos! 🙂
@MC: You did a wonderful job helping during the party, there’s no need to help after the party. I do appreciate the offer, and there’s not all that much left to clean.
