I’m Glad I Found The Mold Before I Started Eating The Bread

My health is tenuous as is, the last thing I needed to do this morning was to nosh on some formerly-delicious bread that is now infested with mold. Of course, mold was the foundation for penicillin, right?

Thanks to stress, uninviting weather, and the desire to be lazy I skipped working out last night and the boss and I walked up to Tilted Kilt. Given the traffic in the Perimeter Mall area around 6pm last night we probably accomplished the walk in about the same amount of time as it would have taken us to drive there. We sat at the bar and had a few beers, and for some reason shots were ordered. This, my friends, is never a good idea.

I think we finally left Tilted Kilt around 10:00pm and I faced the walk back to my car (thankfully mostly downhill) and a 35-minute car ride home. Needless to say, I wasn’t feeling very sprite this morning.

Tonight’s Courtney Barnett show at The Loft in midtown is advertised as an early (doors at 7!), all ages show. Hopefully this means that I will get home at a reasonable time so that I can pack my LEAF/camping into the Jackmobile tonight and get an early start tomorrow.

I’ll be giving my body this extended weekend to heal itself, and if on Monday I still feel the way that I feel today I will be making an appointment with my doctor… a-gain. After just getting a physical, albeit far from the most thorough of physicals, I’m disappointed that I am feeling the discomfort that I am.

On a happier note, I have signed up to volunteer at the Georgia Craft Beer Festival in Candler Park on October 25th. I’ll be working the early shift (11a-3p) and am hoping the weather cooperates so that I can have a good time.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

I think it is something in the air, I am feeling a bit “off” too as I usually do when the seasons change. It will get a little worse as the leaves fall but will right itself.

If you are staying in town next weekend come on out to Grant Park on the 26th for the cyclocross race, should be a good photo opportunity.

I will be there Bob, at what time do the races normally start?

Cool! Racing starts at 10, my race is at 1 and the Cat1 race is at 2. Racing is all done at 3, they shortened it up and combined some classes this year. So in my race I get to try and not be lapped by the Cat 1 women 🙂
