Where Does The Time Go?

I waited out traffic a bit last night before heading to Costco for a slice of pizza and a Pepsi for dinner. Dinner was a bonus for the true reason I was shopping at Costco, to buy a new television the eggs, cheese, and sausage I need to feed the troops on Saturday morning at the campout. This year’s ragtag group may only consist of a dozen folks, but I still wanted to have ample rations for the Saturday morning call to chow.

By my standards I arrived home super early, sometime before 8:00pm. Before I knew it the time had slipped to 10:00pm, at which time I called my mother and spoke with her for awhile.

I was in my bed and asleep before 11:00pm. So much for doing work. So much for doing my German homework. So much for decluttering.

Where does the time go?

Today I need to find time to read this website How to Terminal a LLC. Yes, this is happening. Once filed I need to follow up with the City of Atlanta to ensure that they know my LLC has been terminated and do not try to charge me for an update business license. Then it’s time to ensure that all my business accounts get closed. Four years, $0 profit, over a $1000 in expenses. Yeah, I consider it a failure.

I’ve also been looking at Fix This Toilet to see if I think that I have the necessary skill to repair the toilet in my “master” bath. Of course I could add this to the laundry list of plumbing items I need to bring a plumber in to fix…

For the most part I think that I’ve shaken the cold/allergies that plagued me yesterday. Now if I can just figure out a way to get shit done correctly at work in order to relieve some of the stress that I am feeling I will be doing okay for this week.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

Where are you camping this weekend? We are going to Oak Mtn, but I’m guessing you aren’t coming with us? I need to figure out what all we need to take, we are camping 3 nights, so that means that much more of everything. I’m sure there is a grocery store 5-10 minutes away, but I like to try to not have to leave the campground. Good thing we have a little bit of firewood at the house, so we don’t have to spend a bunch of money on that, its supposed to be a little chilly this weekend.

I know I’ve said this before, but I haven’t in a while. JUST CALL A PLUMBER! Set up a day to “work” from home and just do it.

Listen to Barb, if you are going to have the plumber in anyway, just let him do it all…it isn’t going to cost much more money and it will save you a lot of aggravation. It is damn near impossible for any plumbing DIY to take less than an entire day and 2 trips to your favorite home improvement store. Then when you finally give in and call the plumber, he will have it done in 30 minutes…

I will not be making it to FDR this year, due to the timing of the campout this year. I’m bummed, I always enjoy the weekend, but I don’t to miss the Halloween fun. Which reminds me I need to finish up my costume.

Cincinnati was actually kind of fun, we head quartered ourselfs in Over-the-Rhine, its really a beautiful neighborhood. We did a lot of walking and sightseeing…it was fun for Jerry to play tourist in his home town.

Two strange events occurred while there, 1) when we got up Saturday, my car was COVERED in ants??? I hope they were Ohio ants and I didn’t transport a nest of red ants to the Midwest and 2) while hanging out having a beer in the local park (you can do that there) we met a nice family, after a little chat it was determined that the dad (Steve) and I went to elementary school together…I don’t remember him (maybe if I saw a picture) but we were in the same grade.

  3. Yeah, yeah, yeah. 🙂 I need to get past this next big software push before I can “work” from home.

As Martha pointed out I’ll be down at FDR State Park in Pine Mountain. I’ll be driving down Friday morning and returning sometime on Sunday. From the weather forecast it appears as if I’ll need to pack a few extra layers of clothes.

Martha, you will be missed. And who’s going to leave something behind for me to pick up and hold onto for a year? 🙁

Over The Rhine is a pretty decent band as well. 🙂

    Ants? Ewwwww.

Strange coincidence on the former schoolmate.

Paulie, keep me posted as to what time a trail may actually be starting down there. Since it’s in the “neighborhood”, I might show up.
