More Of The Same

In talking with my mother on my drive home last night I realized what a monotonous routine my life has become.

Last night the boss and I played racquetball, an activity which is seemingly terrible for my right elbow, and then ruined it all with some dinner and a few beers at Olde Blind Dog in Brookhaven. Even our post-racquetball outings have become routine, always frequenting the same bars, increasingly with fewer and fewer friendly female bartenders.

Tonight I’ll be headed back down to Colony Square for German class. I can only hope that this morning’s poor traffic, on a Federal Holiday no less, is not a harbinger of what I can expect on my commute to midtown later this evening. Somewhere during my busy schedule today I need to carve out some time to do a little German homework.

Christmas came early in the form of a new iPad Air 2 yesterday. I’ve been considering upgrading from my (ancient by technology standards) iPad 3 for some time and I finally decided to pull the trigger. While waiting in the Apple Store inside Perimeter Mall yesterday I did what I should never have done — put an iPhone 6 into my hand. It was not nearly as large as I had feared. Yes Virginia, I will most likely be getting one of these in the very near future as well. It’s only money, right? And it’s not like I have anything more pressing to do with my money, like fix the ITP Estate or anything. YOLO! Ah the life of a nearly-fifty-year-old single man who hasn’t had a girlfriend in nearly eleven years, nor a date in over two years.

If you want a good laugh in the near future you should try to find the LA Fitness in which I am working out. I have decided to try my hand at taking Spinning classes again, and if I can ever overcome the stigma of being a fat old man I may even return to an aerobics class or two. Let’s just say that it’s been “awhile” since I’ve done either…

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

I did basically nothing last night, at least you played raquetball.

  2. Jenka says:

Kevin has the 6+. It’s ENORMOUS. We call it the “phablet.”

  3. Barb says:

I have the 6, it isn’t that big. now the 6+, that one is big.

  4. Barb says:

wow – just realized that the plus sign doesn’t show up here.

  5. Yeah, for some reason the commenting system eats ‘+’ signs (I had to go in an reenter it).

I just reentered the ones missing from Jenka’s and Barb’s comments.

ha, I’m back…seems like its been awhile but the last 6 weeks have been nuts. I finished two classes, one in SAS the other in finance (I’ve never studied anything so boring in my life), got my CPR and fitness instructor certifications and as of today, I’m the newest instructor at Village Fitness…oh and you know my job and stuff.

Cool about the spinning, it’s always good to shake things up. I mentioned to Jerry an hour ago, that I’ve only been on my bike twice this year. That needs to change for next year.

  7. Barb says:

what are you going to teach at village Fitness?
