Another “Too Busy To Blog Day”

I’ll leave you with this tidbit. Last night I joined the boss for drinks and food at Brookhaven’s Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub. The place was packed with people, who were there to, get this, hold a real-life draft for their kickball league. I never…

Okay, need to make a lot of progress today on my app.

Oh wait, one more quick thing. So on Sunday, the first day that I used the new bike rack, I managed to scrape it on the apron of my driveway so hard that it ripped off the plastic piece that covers the lock. Mind you this piece isn’t very rugged, but still.

And, last night when I arrived home I noticed that the strap that I carelessly draped over the rack yesterday morning had not fallen off! and this after driving home on the interstate. Color me surprised, as well as thankful.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

After fueling up the tractor and mowing the yard (not with the tractor) Debbie commenced to cooking the T-bone steak we bought the other day. I’m not sure she didn’t just wave it in front of the grill, as it was about the rarest steak I’ve ever eaten but damn, it was good. The dogs were a rapt audience while we ate and their reasonably good behavior was rewarded with some scraps.

Today, a run at lunch followed by a Games meeting.

    Oh. What. Fun.

And for your consideration- the plans are starting to come together to build the shed barn on the back of the man cave. We’ll start with the basic shed roof and run power for the lights. Then build out the stalls and storage. Should be fun

  2. Oh yeah, did you all see the video of Vincenzo Nibali hanging onto his team car at the Vuelta the other day? I’m not surprised that he was disqualified because of this.

Here’s a link to the video:

  3. And I just registered for Beautiful Backroads. Now you have two events from which to choose if you want to ride with me:

    Sept 12, Wilson 100
    Sept 19, Beautiful Backroads

  4. Steve says:

Yeah, that Nibali free ride was certainly the right decision. Getting “motor paced” back from an incident might get you a fine, but hanging on to the car for very long will get you watching the race from the sofa.

Back to back weekends… damn Paulie.

I pulled the trigger on BBR. The Wilson thinks a lot of itself- $65!! and no brewery! I might ride some, but not all that.

  6. Barb says:

Look at you guys pre-planning to do things……….
We will make no decisions about anything until we get from Oregon.
If I could just get something planned for that trip, that would make me happy.

    Just trying to lose weight…

Barb, if it makes a difference the BBC price goes up September 1.

  8. Barb says:

it won’t matter – since I’d lose all the money if we decide not to go. So, I’d rather pay more day of. Plus, if I remember correctly, its a nice small charity that the money goes to, which if I pay more, I’m ok with that.
