Emotionally On ‘E’

If you’ve wondered where I’ve been since last week then you weren’t paying attention. 🙂

I returned “home” from Raleigh yesterday after a fun, gloomy-weather-filled, extended weekend of hanging with the Raleigh Royalty and working hard at the NC State Career Fair. I say “home” because yesterday afternoon I left work and drove to Athens for a concert at the Georgia Theater.

The concert was sold out and the Georgia Theater was overcrowded with annoying Athens twenty-somethings.

GET OFF MY LAWN!!! YOU’RE KILLING THE WEEDS!!!

I left “early”, at about 11:15pm.

I didn’t mind leaving because I at least got to see Mikal Cronin’s band, the opener, perform. I had a ticket for Cronin’s show in Portland that never got used.

This morning’s commute from Athens didn’t lift my spirits much either, taking more than ninety minutes to complete.

I’m worn out.

I’m trying to get motivated to work.

I just want to quit.

We’ll see how I feel tomorrow.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

C’mon Paulie! Where else you gonna go where they send you to exotic climes like NC State ??

You haven’t missed much except more rain around here- I was really surprised the rain didn’t hit Richmond for the Worlds, but it stayed pretty dry.

The camping trip to FDR looks like a possibility- Debbie might even join us…

when is FDR camping? October seems to be booked up again already……

Bike maintenance night at Mango’s tonight, if you need dinner & some company.
Brats are on the menu, I’m going to make crock pot mac n cheese.

The 20 something crowd in my office is annoying me today, I guess I’m just getting old, as the fact that they NEVER write anything down (that is vital to do their jobs) and ask for the same info over & over & over is crazy. Like the IT guy’s phone# to fix whatever issue they are having logging in. I swear, if Siri can’t answer, they are so screwed in life.

2 Day Breast Cancer walk is this weekend starting & ending at the Marriott Marquis downtown – so you may see lots of women walking around wearing pink.

  3. FDR is the first weekend in November

  4. Steve says:

I think FDR will have to have a biking component- just as an additional incentive.

  5. Stacy says:

You know what helps? MONSTER PIZZA!!!!! 🙂 Just remember you have that waiting at day’s end.

(Okay, okay, we don’t actually have to order the monster. I just kinda wanna.) *grin*

  6. Steve says:

If you wait until next week, we can help with the Monster!!

  7. Stacy says:

Deal! 🙂 We can tame the monster for a week.

  8. No Monster, no trivia tonight. We’re going to try and circle the wagons again next Tuesday.

  9. Barb says:

Monster Pizza, that does sound good.
not sure if we can make it, but you just never know 9and I know we’d have to pay for your part)
