On The Move

Yesterday was filled with a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Today will be more of the same.

I Am Not A Slave To My Technology
After eating a largish lunch at Grindhouse Killer Burgers and then spending some time in the library I decided that I should get out and do my hour of exercise. With a haircut appointment at 4:30pm and German class at 6:30pm, I didn’t want to work up too much of a sweat so I decided to walk around Piedmont Park. I suppose that I could have showered at LA Fitness, yes I am still paying for a membership, but don’t much care for the Ansley Mall location.

Anyway, it wasn’t until I had five minutes left in my hour-long walk that I realized that I never started any of my fitness-tracking technology. Dangen! So, you will have to believe me when I tell you that I walked for an hour yesterday.

Here is some tangible proof of my walk… I Intended to take a panorama of a seemingly empty Piedmont Park and then this one guy walked into my frame.

Killing Many Birds With A Few Stones
Today I plan to get many things done in a short period of time.

I will start my flurry of activity with lunch at Pollo Norteño followed by doing laundry at my favorite lavanderia. I am wearing my last pair of clean underwear so laundry is a must.

Once laundry is finished I will drive down to Town Brookhaven where I will go out for a sweaty run/walk (I’m hoping the change in location will spur me on to do better) followed by a shower at that LA Fitness because I’m a little more familiar with that location.

After showering I will be doing some shopping at Costco, getting all of the things that I will need for this weekend’s camping trip. Hooray for getting out of town again!

And finally I will meet up with my friend Hank at Lucky’s Burger & Brew for a couple beers.

Boom! An entire day’s chores knocked out in a compact block of time.

Game 7?
I didn’t see this coming. I suppose I should find a television at some point in the evening to watch the conclusion of this year’s World Series.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

An entire day’s chores knocked out in a compact block of time — and in a city block of space! 🙂 Okay, I’m not sure where your laundromat is, but all the rest of your chores are all conveniently placed together. Well done.

And dude SO looks like he’s floating in that photo.

The lavanderia and Pollo Norteño are a few miles from Town Brookhaven, but by Atlanta standards they are no more than a city block apart.

He does! I hadn’t noticed that. Maybe he was a procrastinating Halloween ghost? 🙂

Stacy, I thought the same thing. I wonder why Paulie asked him to jump in the air.

A quiet night watching the CUBS (!!) win game 6. Nice to see them take it to game 7. At this point, niether team should be ashamed of losing. Great series.

And since I started the rumor about TC tomorrow, let me include Stacy and perhaps she will join us as well… 6PM at the garage mahal.

Awww, that is lovely, I thank you! 🙂 I have a haircut appointment at 4 pm so I’m not sure if I can make it* …but if I get out at a decent time, I’d love to!

*I seriously have not had a haircut in about a year because it always takes SO DAMN LONG TO GET A HAIRCUT. I get it that they like to pamper you, but ain’t nobody got time for hours-long haircuts! Trying a new place this time (hello Groupon!) but Frank (Royal F*ck) also goes there and says they’re great so we’ll see. My head’s a hot mess so there’s no more putting it off.

I will be there tomorrow night, cold beer in cooler. I also have a special plan for tomorrow, but you will have to wait until then to find out what I am going to do.

    still crazy here at work.
Looking forward to tomorrow night – and – I”m still so confused abou the weekend camping & what food to bring.
    Spreadsheet document just confuses me.

  7. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Barb, it looks like Lisa is asking you to bring the following:
    – a couple bags of chips for Saturday lunch
    – condiments for sandwiches (mayo and mustard)
    – a veggie side for Saturday’s dinner

The last one has a question mark by your name. So I guess if you don’t want to bring all three this is the one to omit.

Everything else appears to be accounted for.

  8. Barb says:

you are the best to go that for me – email on the phone jsut jumbles things anymore it seems, and havne’t had a chance to log in from here at work to find the latest one.
I can easily do those things.
I will figure out something to make for Saturday evening – let me talk to Kat & John.

we can crash teh end of the SLUT hash tomorrow night if we are bored – Hung Jury doesn’t live too far from me
