It’s Good Friday so naturally I am at a church. Oh, not for religious services, for Creative Mornings Atlanta.

“XYZ Corp” has given us a paid day off, so I will spend my day trying to get a hash trail ready for Monday night.

  1. Today’s name badge statement is “I wish I had the courage to…”. I filled in the blank with “quit my job (again)” but I should have written “meet new people”. #missingout

That’s an excellent idea you ahould implement next time. Being vulnerable is paradoxical. On the surface it can make us feel weak or scared, but it’s really a testament of one’s true strength. You’re going to look bad-ass for naming what you’re up against, and in naming it publicly like that you’ll start eroding it’s power over you. It’s also a discreet way to ask for help, which again is the only way you’re going to break this cycle. I’ve learned that contrary to (my) popular belief, the world doesn’t actually end when I ask for help. Who knew?

  2. Unrelated: either the coffee or donuts I had this morning aren’t agreeing with me. 😢 I also am once again feeling as if something is stuck in my throat. Seriously, my body has become one, big 💩 – minus the smile.

  3. Huh, AppleWatch battery already down to 37%? Either I failed to set it on the charger properly, or the new software installed yesterday is killing battery life. Dangen!

I swung by the auction site yesterday on the way home. More stuff than I’ve ever seen- and if you were in the market for a white pickup truck, today would be a good day to buy.

Debbie rode out from the house last night and I didn’t know if she knew the line of storms coming through- I messaged her to be home by 7- the storms arrived about 8:00. A pretty quick line, though I think I heard them through the night.

Lola is good after her surgery. Will be happy to have that giant, cross eyed, goof ball home.

    Happy Good Friday (!?!)

Watching the auction online (not things I would ever bid on) Saw one guy pay 40k for a semi tractor and then bought the 5 that were available. An easy 200k + buyers premium of 10%. It’s only money.

Trying to figure out if we are getting out of here early today, rumor has it at noon, but people have to have their work done.

    • Stacy says:

The getting out of work early usually sucks for me. Like, people think we should be so excited when they’re all like: hey, leave at 3pm! Well, I guess for the folks that come in at 9 or 9:30 that works well enough. But here since 7? Oh yay. An hour, thanks.

I echo the name tag thing – that’s brilliant!

Low key weekend. Birthday dinner for a friend out in Decatur/Tucker tonight, and tomorrow going to an adult Easter egg hunt in Inman Park. Not adult as in alcohol, but that 40+ different artists have created eggs and are going to hide them around Springvale Park for adults to find –and keep! Free local art! It’s open to the public, hunt is one hour from 3-4pm. One free found egg per person but ohhhh there will obviously be many more people than eggs so I’m about to THROW DOWN in my egg huntin’ skills. 😉

Apparently it’s their 5th annual too….who knew? So if anyone finds themselves free about 2:45-3 tomorrow, come on out. 🙂 Egg hunt with me. Perhaps beer with me before and/or after. I’ll be coming via foot along the Beltline.

Well, *that* sounds like fun! I’m headed out of town tomorrow, otherwise I’d be all over that. I love watching the ducks at Springvale park. Always good for my soul.

        • Stacy says:

I will be sure to bring some bread and feed the ducks on your behalf, Lurker. 🙂 (always good for my soul too – I’m usually plumping up the little guys in Piedmont Park though)

          • ITP Lurker says:

Thank you for having my back, Stacy. 🙂 Hey, by the way there are *baby* ducks in Old Fourth Ward Park right now. I stopped and watched them for 15 minutes last weekend, because, well, BABY DUCKS! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  6. Trail (pretty much) complete. Won’t be as great as originally imagined, but it’ll be fine. It’s only hashing, right? 😉
