Did you also dig that girl?

    • Eh?

      How was your happy hour?

      • Stacy says:

The song. Can’t get it out of my head now. But I like it, so that’s okay. 🙂 “Spill the wine…dig that girl….”

Happy hour was actually pretty stellar. Our bartender was a total rock star and even gave us a free appetizer AND a drink for the road she whipped up (when she realized no one was driving). Delicious bites and drinks for only $5.55 during happy hour. Gotta love that!

        • Barb says:

drinks to go???? isn’t that fun.

        • ITP Lurker says:

          VERY WELL PLAYED, STACY. 🔥🔥🔥

I’ll add UB40 as the next song in today’s ITP playlist. 🍷🍷🍷

Thanks for the recon on 55th and Park. Definitely going to go now. We’ll do the happy hour to truly keep it old school.

          • ITP Lurker says:

            Next band, not song.

          • Stacy says:

I think an all-wine-related playlist would be something magical. 🙂

          • ITP Lurker says:

We had a “Fresh Bought Booze” party the afternoon that Sunday sales finally became legal. Everyone was required to buy alcohol on the way to the party. I put together a several hour playlist comprised of songs related to alcohol. It was quite fun all around.

Here’s a running start on a wine playlist:

            https://www.google.com/search?q=songs+about+wine&rlz=1C1TSNF_enUS473US473&oq=songs+about+wine&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.2655j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

I nominate Don Ho’s Tiny Bubbles as the third song, followed by Tommy James Sweet Cherry Wine. I may just start working on a play list.

Fun fact: I am known as ADD DJ among my friends. I mix all kinds of songs together into playlists, and rarely let songs play through to the end, ‘cuz well we’ve all heard them a million times. Gotta keep things moving. I can’t dance or play an instrument, but I sure can curate some tunes. Music enabled me endure my childhood.

you were in a backyard – did anything get ruined? Who cares – everyone spills things.
(BTW – how drunk were you?)

  3. Head hurts.

    Wine is evil.

I’m now going to The Book of Mormon on Thursday 7/19 – Allan got a pretty decent single seat for me, $74 (with out any ticketbastard charges, buying at the box office).
Found on via the FB that Jenka & Kevin are going, so we may meet them for dinner before the show at Cypress St Pint & Pub. And – hopefully Stacy will be joining us too.
IF its 100 degrees & we don’t want to walk 5 whole blocks, we may just go to Edgar’s Proof & Provision – as it is closer. (Allan will most likely have to be in his uniform, and you now him & wearing long pants)

    • ITP Lurker says:

Rent scooters! Midtown is filthy with them. Bird or Lime, you’ll have options. Reasonably priced Book of Mormon tickets gives me hope to eventually see Hamilton. It is coming back late 2019.

      • Barb says:

        rent scooters – hahahahahaha.
Allan would NEVER do that in uniform.
But – maybe I can get him to pack a t-shirt & change when we get back to the car.

        • ITP Lurker says:

I promise you, they’re really fun. It’d add a great dimension to what already looks like a great evening.

          • Barb says:

I think its an EXCELLENT idea, if I can get Allan to bring a change of clothes.
I will someday ride one, I will!

      • As I have been doing s lot of walking here I realized that the scooter/bike/whatever companies have not invaded Edmonton yet.

    • Stacy says:

I will definitely be joining y’all at dinner. Considered the show too but after just coming off vacation, I need to pull in the purse strings a bit.

Love me some P&P but just be warned it gets mad stupid busy on Fox days.

      • Barb says:

We got a table no problem last Fox show, but did we just get lucky? probably………
Allan in uniform sometimes is helpful, ya know????
And- they have pony sized High Life!!!

      • ITP Lurker says:

        Stacy, tickets start at $34…

        • Stacy says:

Yeah. I’m going to pop by the box office tomorrow morning when they’re open to see what might be available. It’s the stupid online fees that really get ya.

          • Barb says:

its like $20 (or more)- doesn’t really matter what price lever your seat is!!!! so if you buy a cheaper seat, you are paying way too high of a percentage of fees. I will always go to a box office if it is possible anymore.

  5. This just in… it’s possible to go to a Canadian bar/restaurant and order only water to drink. Who knew?
