Good morning on our last day of January. This blog finds me in Thomasville, NC my now traditional stopping city for breakfast when overnighting in Charlotte. Uncharacteristically I have passed Biscuitville and gone down the street to Waffle House instead. Truth be told I really wanted a Shoney’s breakfast buffet, but none are in the area.
Last night I ate a wonderful Ethiopian dinner, believe or not called a “Vegan Comboâ€. I attempted to go to a new-to-me brewery called “Legion Breweryâ€, but there was no parking to be found. Instead I made a return visit to Devine Barrel Brewing before returning to my hotel room to pass out.

We started watching The Magnificent Seven last night. Debbie is not a big fan of “old movies” but she managed to tolerate it. I’m not sure I have ever seen it, but it’s a classic and was on TCM, so it wasn’t 3 hours for a 90 minute movie. It did start running into my bedtime, so we stopped before the final shoot-em-up.
I woke up yesterday thinking it was Friday. Sadly, it has only now come true!

We decided to make fish tacos last night, a little tilapia pan cooked with seafood seasoning – they were tasty.
(as was the guacamole & cheese dip)
Tonight is massage night for Felicia & Annette at my house, then girls night dinner after. No massage for me, as I just had 1 last week.
I told sue we need a commission for the use of our house…… hahahahaha
