Good Friday to you, friends.

I have little to discuss today. Yesterday was a blasé day during which I accomplished little. I often felt rushed, and a touch anxious for no apparent reason.

In addition to work and my studies, I hope to start spending some time doing productive yard clean up. I believe the ITP Estate may see some rain today, so I hope to accomplish my goal before it arrives.

No big plans for the Mother’s Day weekend. I hope to continue progressing with my efforts to learn, see some friends, and get exercise in the process.

I was about declare that I was going to get out of bed and start my day early, but it’s already 6:30am which is about when I normally try to start me day, so there. At least this explains why I am tired in the afternoon and fall asleep pretty early.

Cheers all!

Good Morning! Chilly this morning, but I understand it will be nothing like tomorrow morning. Low 40’s?? WTF, O? Might have to cut grass before the rain hits…

A couple calls yesterday and some routine paperwork to complete to allow special devices to connect to the network. Glad to be able to do it easily from the new normal of home. The MiFi is working well. AT&T has either tested for the fixed wireless and found us lacking, or hasn’t showed up yet. It’s been 2 weeks, but no one has said a word.

Debbie will be off later to pick up her brother and go visit mom. It is Mothers Day weekend after all. I will hold the fort down.

No plans this weekend, so stay safe and stay home friends.

Slim Prickens and I rode 38 miles on the Silver Comet yesterday morning (Floyd Road to Pumpkinville Trestle). I think I could ride 50 miles on the SCT. (My current max. is about 45 on regular roads.) It wasn’t too crowded, but I don’t ride it enough to know the loads. It’s nice to ride and not think about the route. Oh and flat is nice too. 😁 I know… if I avoid hills I’ll never get any better…

I don’t know what my weekend holds yet either, except the ever-present chores. I was supposed to have a belated birthday visit with a friend tonight, but the weather may push it to tomorrow since we can’t visit indoors. *Sigh*

    • 🤜🏻🤛🏻

I know you could ride fifty miles, and more, on the Silver Comet.

Bonnie – just go ride the Arabia Mtn Path trail – that has plenty of hills for you to train on. and – you don’t have to drive out to Lithonia – there is a trailhead in SE Dekalb (I think near some high school?) you could start at.

      • Bonnie says:

Yeah I rode 25 out there a couple weeks ago–it was hard. But yeah I need to do it more! MLK High School is indeed the closest trailhead (14 miles) but the school parking lot is currently closed. The next-closest trailhead is Panola Shoals (also 14 miles) but the lot has been full and people park illegally and it’s difficult to get in or out even if I got a spot. I suppose I will just have to drive further out.

I am hoping to meet up with Sharon (they are in Ellijay working on their cabin) on Saturday afternoon – at the Talking Rock mtn bike trails – I think its near Jasper. I need to look up the directions.
I need to ride my road bike -was hoping this evening, but weather doesn’t look promising. H5 is scheduled for tonight by George’s, but rain would ruin that parking lot hanging out.

  4. And now for something completely different: I just showered after doing about 90 minutes of yard work — mostly weed/ivy pulling and bushwhacking. A lot of what I did this morning is in preparation for next week’s HVAC maintenance call. I am certain that I used some muscles that don’t often get used and will be paying for this later. I kinda feel cheated that my hard labor didn’t register as such to my AppleWatch. 😕

yard work – good times. I need to cut our grass one of these days soon, but tonight, I think it will be too wet.

    • Yeah, about half of what I accomplished will never be seen be any one other than myself and HVAC maintenance people. 😕

But hey, it’s a start in the right direction… 🙂

  5. Decided to make this for dinner One Pot Lentils with Quinoa and Spinach since I have all of the ingredients on hand.

  6. Definitely feeling my yard work this morning, muscles are starting to feel fatigued. That’s a good thing, right? 🙂
