I have very little to report today. Between the shitty weather, leg pain, and tentative eating I really did very little more than work, video watching, German homework, and reading of “In Cold Blood”. If not for the negatives, this would have been a decent day.

I received some more seed packets in the mail yesterday, now I need to make the garden beds into which I planned to plant them. I wasn’t expecting to be such a gimp when I placed the order.

I will be seeing my doctor about my leg this morning at 9:00. If I were to asses its improvement I’d say it’s about 85% recovered; I think immobilizing it for hours on end has helped?

I’ve yet to contact my dentist. I should do this today just to see about getting an appointment. I am hoping that they will just smooth out the tip and that will be the end of it.

If you’ve not read the article that Lurker posted yesterday, I suggest that you do, that is if you are interested in green space ITP.

That is all I have today.

Hope you are remaining healthy. Keep up the good work!

The dremmel offer still stands… just sayin’

After a reasonably slow day at work, I managed a good half hour on the trainer. I really should have done that Monday, as my quads were still inflamed from my run Sunday. I’ll attempt another run today and see how that goes.

Yesterday was also spent watching the hurricane. My friend/coworker Jude and his family live in the bullseye about 15 miles inland and now that it will come ashore as a Cat 4, will be bugging out. While they are from a long line of Cajuns, they aren’t crazy and have the means. I offered accommodations at our place, but he doesn’t want to be so far away it takes too long to get back and assess the damage. I’m afraid it’s going to be ugly.

I never could quite figure out where that new park is. Off Moreland, south of you, but still CoA and not Dekalb?

    • It’s on the west side of Moreland, on the west side of the landfill, and East of the Southside Sports Complex.

Wow, that’s a huge parcel. I’m sure we’ve hashed through there many times- at least I recall the landfill…

And I imagine those folks on Forrest Park Rd. are breathing a sigh of relief and their property value just jumped.

  2. Guess who can’t read a calendar… I’m a week early for my doctor appointment. Fortunately there is an opening with another doctor at the hospital so I just need to wait until 9:30.

Allan got tentative good news that he might get moved into a paramedic supervisor position yesterday, Engine 6 has burnt him out. He’s so exhausted the entire next day after working 24 hrs with basically no sleep, he needs to get out of there after over 2 years. No idea when it will happen, but hopefully soon.

work here is still insane, I’m here until 6:30 or later almost every night. Covid & the screwed up economy have really messed with the transportation business.
