This morning finds me at the laundromat at 5:00am. Why so early? I was awake, so why not?

After relaxing in the yard yesterday morning I had a little “I hope that’s not a tick on my face” moment. The human body is poorly designed for debugging (literally and figuratively) since so many places are hard to see. All attempts to use a mirror to look were also futile. After much mirror gazing and frustration I determined that it wasn’t one.

Around 11:30 I drove over to Bonnie’s and we decided to do a BeltLine walk for lunch. We walked up to Inman Park, where after waiting in line (!) we ate at Victory Sandwich; I always forget how easy it is to spend a lot of money there.

After lunch we decided the early start of the hash combined with Sunday’s drama had left us unmotivated to hash, so the plan turned into a pub crawl back to Bonnie’s house. Along the way we discovered how many places are closed on Monday, don’t open until Monday afternoon, or had closed for the 4th of July week. Undaunted, we stopped in a very crowded Krog Street Market at Hop City, had a beer at Manny’s, and then one at The T before calling it a day. I rather enjoyed our impromptu pub crawl, and did about six miles of walking in the process.

Today I need to do some new employee training for the new company, a little watering of plants in WLF, and then my night is open. We’ll see where the wind blows me today.

Hope you had a good Monday. Hope you are happy and healthy.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 182.2 pounds (+2.6 from last week’s weigh-in); oops.

Paulie also reminded me how to play pool. 🙂

Totally forgot to check in yesterday.
Steve, Didn’t realize TJ was gone again, glad you got to check up on him.
Mary is finally almost recovered from her broken shoulder, we don’t need him getting hurt.
Kept fairly busy all weekend, wanted to do BS Sunday, but had a pool party to attend. (I know, what a problem to have). Can’t believe what all went down.
Did an impromptu 5+ mile hike at Kennesaw Mtn yesterday, you can access the Kolb Farm loop from a Kroger parking lot, so no need to pay for parking. (Thought the official lots might be crowded as well).

Impromptu pub crawl doesn’t sound bad at all.

  3. Done with choring, Four takeaways from my morning:
    – a lot of “interesting” people use a laundromat at 5am; I guess that includes me.
    – saw an impressive looking owl fly through my neighbor’s yard this morning and land on their fence.
    – tomato plants need water. 🙄
    – while listening to a podcast in which they were talking about vehicles in parades the guy said he saw a Vixen! Oh, that “interesting” vehicle once owned by MC and Whiner…

A nice slow day- just what I needed.

Made a Lowes run and came home to find a hose we supply the barn with had burst while I was gone! Nice timing. A quick run the the hardware store in Luthersville and they were closed!!! Well, F.

A nice ride to dust off the scooter in the afternoon. Reasonably cool out, considering.

Got to work (my recliner) this morning and Minnie Pearl is walking up and down the fence line, braying. I step out on the deck and Mickey is out enjoying the backyard. That will stop very soon, unless he has a thumb.

I decided to go give some blood today, they are having a drive over at Truist Field, figured I’d park somewhere nearby & get a walk in.

    • 🙌🏼

      • Steve says:

        Wear a mask.

Speaking of masks. the only folks I saw wearing masks over the weekend was the folks from USADA! It’s not uncommon to see them at the bigger races, but they wanted the winner of the 35+ Masters (interesting) and 1st and 2nd for pro women and men (typical). Glad to see they are still trying.

      • I’ll admit that I have been guilty of letting my guard down lately.

        • Steve says:

We were outdoors, so I didn’t see a lot of point. If the WHO and CDC come to an agreement about it, I may start again.

  6. The City picked up yard waste today! 🥳

  7. Barb says:

Giving blood done- I see why there’s a shortage, took me 1.25 hours. Lots of waiting.

Battery during the week when there’s no game is empty. Might have to come here for lunch someday
