After my morning of hard choring yesterday I didn’t accomplish much else.

It was my turn to cook for Top Chef last night, so I went crazy and made an Instant Pot spaghetti, and served it with some garlic breadsticks (which only I ate?), and an arugula salad mix that I dressed with some olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Except for the spaghetti being under seasoned and some of it clumping, the meal was a success. The spaghetti was under seasoned because I upped the spaghetti and water amounts in the recipe, but failed to add additional spices. Betsy added to dinner by making a blueberry pie.

The sun is due to rise in ten minutes, yes I slept that late… I should get out and do some more WLF choring today, though I am having motivation issues. It appears as if we may get some rain this afternoon too, so I should probably pop up into the attic and have a peek around there as well. For this I have even less motivation than working WLF at the moment.

And, I have a sink full of dirty dishes that need to be washed today. It’s as if the chores never end. How did I accomplish it all when I was working, especially when I was commuting for work? Oh yeah, I didn’t. 🙄😂

Tonight I will be packing for the most exclusive campout ever held at a pioneer campground. It turns out helping friends move is more enticing than hanging out with me at a campground? Oh well, such is life.

Hope you have a wonderful Thursday.

I want to hang out with you at a campground! 😁

While car research was done, there will be no car purchase this week. The husband isn’t ready. So, not sure what today will hold except for a few errands and chores. Oh, well the day is full then!

Nigel cat’s dental cleaning went pretty well, he had to have one small tooth removed. The bad news is he has 2 large teeth that only have a year or two left before they will need to be pulled. The poor guy is only going to have one large tooth remaining in the front after that.

Sorry about your camp mates bailing.. life happens.

After a quick run to NAPA after work, I started the brake repair process. Except for a few minor issues, like not following the directions in the repair guide, it went pretty well. No time for a test ride, but I’ll take care of that today.

We got good news on another friend last night- still not out of the woods with the Covid, but discharged from the hospital with good meds… I really thought people were smarter than this, but I guess I’m wrong.

Who is helping someone move over camping? That’s crazy.

We head tomorrow to get a camper & camp up at the Ocoee River. Rafting all day is on the agenda for Saturday.

Gregg & Deb are staying with us, today we are “road tripping” to Alpharetta to see Deb’s old house. She is going to be shocked, when she moved Windward Pkwy was basically the country.

We probably shouldn’t be blabbing that on here. And I’m sure the folks have other obligations as well over the weekend…

    • To be fair the people who are helping, hashers you know, never committed to camping. It’s all good, I knew going in that it would be a very low turnout, and I’m okay with that. Who knows, some of Busted’s family may not have found out that he canceled the weekend and may show up. 😂

I was thinking the same thing! We could decide to kick them out or perhaps collect cash from them. 😂

    • I have been meaning to ask, is Greg also known as “Hand Solo”?

  4. Halfhearted morning choring done, I just couldn’t get motivated. In the sun (not complaining) wearing jeans and a long sleeved technical shirt I was sweating up a storm. I watered, took down a couple of very small branches, and did some general puttering around. I think WLF will have a massive cleanup in September.

  5. Just heard a “street cleaner” truck going down my street. I would have been nice if the CoA would ever pick up yard waste so I wouldn’t have to run out to move the bag out of the truck’s way.

Barb, I can remember when Windward parkway really WAS country! I think I was riding up there with the previous administration when it was being built! Damn, that was a long time ago- mid 80’s?
