I don’t have much today. Yesterday I spent the entire day puttering around WLF as well as the house. The rainfall at the ITP Estate wasn’t great enough to warrant a trip into the attic.

Yesterday was a leftover day. I ate leftovers for all three meals yesterday. This morning’s breakfast will be another plater of leftover spaghetti — ah the single life!

This morning I will be packing up the camping gear and battening down the hatches for a couple of relaxing days away in Red Top Mountain State Park. I hope to get a little exercise by doing some hiking and swimming, in addition to the rigor of setting up and breaking down camp.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

    Camping!!! 🙂

  2. Final direct deposit from “XYZ Corp, Mark II” has landed, now I am officially unemployed.

Have fun camping, it has been way too long for me. I need to get back out there.

Laser surgery was interesting, it is unsettling having somebody poke around your eyeballs then zap them with a laser. I had about a 3 hour window of misery once the numbing drops wore off and dry eye set in. Outside of that it has been tolerable. Now I have to wear safety glasses for a few more days to prevent myself from touching the eyes and I can’t ride for a week (that is the worst part). It’s also amazing how quickly an hour goes by when you have to put a drop in your eyes every hour. Vision is great though! I can’t wait to be fully healed and get back to normal.

    • I am glad to read that all went well. I remember the excruciating pain after my chalazion outpatient surgery’s numbing drops wore off.

You’ll be back on the bike in no time!

I think I am positive for Covid. This pisses me off greatly, as next week was going to be busy as hell with 3 days in Birmingham, 2 bike races and a Games party. Fuck.

Testing appointment is 1130 this morning.

Dammit man! Hate that for you Steve. It sucks that we do all the right things and may get infected by some asshat that refuses to get a damn shot.

      Positive vibes for a negative

Oh no! You never know… so many symptoms in common with other maladies. *Fingers crossed.*

      • Steve says:

You’re right Bonnie, but I think this particular combination is spot on. A bit light headed, a tiny sore throat yesterday, and a bit of congestion in the lungs. Still, I won’t know for sure till the test comes back. I feel fine, basically. I’m blaming Debbie.

    • Ack! Best of luck, friend.

    (Steve!!)

    This whole pandemic thing is….complicated.

Nobody really knows what’s going on. Much is made up as we go along. The “masses” (AKA, you and me) are simply grist for the mill. Always have been, always will be.

Follow the money. Much to be made in selling the vaccine. And the government prints money (using our tax dollars), so it’s a match made in Heaven.

It costs us very little as individuals to play along, wear a mask, wash our hands, get the vaccine, even (re)quarantine if it comes to that.

Woe be it to those that find they have to go to an ER, for any reason.

And like literally everything, both political parties are not going to let a good crisis go to waste.

Smart folks will figure out a way to “make money when the Stock Market goes UP, and….DOWN.” If you know what I mean.

Work from home, what better excuse do we need to “lay low”, spend more time on hobbies, personal pursuits.

This too shall pass, when it serves those in power/authority to do so. Until then, the beatings will continue until morale improves.

Mid-Term elections are right around the corner. Look for things to get better…real soon now.

    Real soon now.

Beware of those that run around to the front of the parade claiming to save us.

Carry on. Wear your mask and wash your hands.

Continue status reports, this frequency, 0800, 1400 and 1600 hours.

    Fun morning – hahaha.
Freezer had snow in it, I guess I blocked a vent or whatever. Got it all cleaned up.
All ready to leave, get a message from Outdoorsy that the camper we have rented isn’t available, but they have a replacement for us. Minor heart attack, but all ok after we talked to the lady.
Hopefully the rest of the weekend will go smooth now.
Looks like it may not be rain too much now.
