I’m glad that I waited until this morning to pack my clothes for the weekend. Brrr! Im looking forward to sitting around a campfire drinking beer this weekend. More about this tomorrow.
Other than the hours wiled away choring in WLF and having dinner with Betsy, yesterday was merely a normal Wednesday in my life.
Even though the temperatures are not supposed to get high this weekend I need to get out and do some watering in WLF this morning since it’s not suppose to rain again for awhile either.
I thought I’d be visited by a local owl this morning since I heard it’s calls near WLF as I started packing the car. No such luck.

After a fairly routine day “at the office”, I completed cutting the grass and then moved on to some trail maintenance at Bear Creek. I started with trails near the house that I might ride or run (!!). I was surprised that after I PM’d the bush hog last week, it was really very quiet and pretty balanced. I also greased the single, trailing wheel, thinking that would keep its securing pin in place as it likes to wiggle about halfway out.
I made the first pass on one trail and had turned around to do the other half when a came upon the wheel laying on the freshly cut trail! Apparently the lubrication made it easier to just completely let go! I’ll be heading to the hardware store later.
Anyone else watching “Jeopardy”? The current champ has been thee 5 weeks! He’s got a sort of annoying manner (to me) but he is certainly whip smart. He has a great strategy- he goes for the big clues first, then goes Daily Double hunting and isn’t cheap! We watched one earlier this week where he bet it all and lost, and was low score to start Double Jeopardy, but it really didn’t matter as he cleaned everyone’s clock.

Very frustrated today, I can find emails that I should be able to find. My snail mail is not being held, even though I know I set up a hold, but cannot locate the confirmation email. And I am trying to place a WLF order with a company, but cannot find the free shipping code email I swear they sent to me earlier this week and am balking at paying $11 shipping.
Most everything is packed, trying to figure out what we forgot.
Sani brought a bunch of stuff for us to haul up there. Allan decided driving the truck made it much easier to pack.
Oh yeah….. I need to pack wine.
Have fun camping, weather should be perfect!
I’ll be hanging out at Allatoona creek park all day Saturday watching the NICA kids race. Should be a fun day!
